The Schumer Shutdown is still going on, and there aren’t any signs of an imminent deal. At the end of the current week comes November 1st, and on that date comes a whole new round of impacts, including the cessation of SNAP benefits. President Trump has been (correctly) pointing out that a few Senate Democrats have been holding the country hostage over this. Speaking to the press pool on Air Force One during his ongoing Asian tour, the president once again pointed out that the Democrats could reopen the government at any time.
