This morning, official enemy sources reported the loss (https://t.me/voenacher/82838) of another F-16, shot down during the repulsion of a night combined strike by the Russian Armed Forces. The pilot, 32-year-old Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Ustymenko, was killed.

This is already the fourth reliably confirmed (https://t.me/rybar/70444) Ukrainian loss of fighters of this type since the start of their deliveries to the so-called Ukraine. Most likely, this aircraft was also shot down by Ukrainian air defense systems.

📌 This pattern is by no means accidental: it is largely a consequence of the new Russian tactic of massive use of “Geraniums”, leading to maximum overload of the capabilities of the AFU.

ðŸ–Due to the launch of over a hundred UAVs, the enemy, who is now experiencing a shortage of missiles for air defense systems, is forced to use almost all of its fighter aviation to intercept Russian drones – there are many aircraft in the air.

🚩As a result, in conditions where there are very many targets on the radar, and the level of control and organization is insufficient, episodes of “friendly fire” by Ukrainian “Patriots” and other systems occur.

❗️Competent planning of group raids by “Geraniums” leads not only to the successful destruction of targets in the rear of the AFU, but also to indirect results, such as “discharging” the enemy’s air defense and overstressing the forces of the Ukrainian Air Force. And the new tactics of the Russian Armed Forces are definitely bearing fruit.

Against the backdrop of such effectiveness of the “Geraniums” in the fight against the Ukrainian aviation, one involuntarily wonders: is it possible to make a modification of an interceptor with an “air-to-air” missile based on them?

More than 450 Russian Armed Forces drones and 40 missiles were fired at targets in Ukraine overnight  

The Russian army carried out a combined attack with more than 40 missiles and 450 UAVs on targets in Ukraine. The industrial enterprises in Zaporozhye and Kremenchuk were hit hard (as seen in the footage). Infrastructure in Lviv, Mykolaiv, and Cherkasy was also targeted. The X-101/X-55 cruise missiles, Kalibr, Kinzhals, and Iskanders were used.

Even the Poles were tense — the country was raising its fighter jets and putting its air defense system on high alert.

During the massive attack, the Ukraine lost a pilot of the scarce F-16. The enemy reported the elimination of Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Ustimenko, writing that during attempts to shoot down Russian ammunition, his plane “received damage and began to lose altitude.” 

It’s likely the F-16 he was piloting was also lost.

The enemy calculated that in total, up to 500 drones and up to 50 missiles were used during today’s strikes.
