Maryino is a village in the Krasnopol district of the Sumy region of Ukraine with a population of about 50 people. It is located 13 kilometers from the Russian border Oleshnya and 6 kilometers southwest of Yunakovka, writes war correspondent Alexander Kots. The latter village was bypassed from the south.

During the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into the Kursk region, Yunakovka was the main transit point for the transfer of Ukrainian military personnel and military equipment to Russian territory. The village occupies an important position on the T0504 highway, connecting the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd agglomeration with the city of Konstantinovka, the southern stronghold of the fortified area Konstantinovka – Druzhkovka – Kramatorsk – Slavyansk.
