SITUATION IN THE SOUTH DONETSK DIRECTION

Let’s go straight to the “hottest” part. The enemy yesterday launched a counterattack in Novyi Kamar, but more in the information domain. They posted a video with a flag in the village, but for some reason it was shot not from a drone, but from the ground, in some ruins. It is difficult to determine the geo-position, but even if this is the northern part of Novyi Kamar (at least this is what the assault groups of the “Vostok” grouping of troops captured a few days ago), then the question arises – if the enemy was able to completely drive out our units from the village, then why is the flag being filmed so stealthily and not from a drone, so that the flag’s position could be determined? It looks more like an enemy information anti-crisis. The notorious Yura Sumskyi, who managed to bury the marines of the 40th Guards Brigade who were the first to jump into the village in his “report”, is playing into their hands.

The northern part of Novyi Kamar is still under the control of our units, the groups are in contact, no one has surrendered the village, the fighting continues. Initially, the position of the assault groups was not the most favorable, since the “jump” from Razdolne turned out to be too long, and the supply line was stretched. Now other units have been able to clear the forest belts to the east of Novyi Kamar, and we hope that this will simplify the further work on the liberation of the village.

In addition, an information counteroffensive is also being undertaken in the direction of Razdolne itself. Yesterday, a number of AFU resources published footage of the presence of the enemy in the center of the village and the capture of several servicemen of the 37th Guards Brigade. However, the events in the video are at least a week old – when the assault on the village was just beginning. At the same time, along with video archives, the enemy is making real attempts at counterattacks, trying to cling to Razdolne again. The enemy is pulling in new reserves here, the territorial defense is running out and now our assault troops are facing regular AFU units.

To the east, the enemy is gradually being pushed out of the settlement of Sukhyi Yaly, over the past day the assault units of the “Vostok” grouping of troops managed to advance further north. The situation in the area of Konstantynopilskyi/Ostrovskyi is even more dismal for the enemy. Local sources note that in general, the enemy is gradually losing the will to resist, increasingly abandoning positions or surrendering.

The advance of the assault groups of the “Vostok” grouping of troops further east is a bit slower. The enemy is digging in here, and if earlier many strongholds here were occupied almost without a fight, now the AFU soldier has become more persistent in the battles for each stronghold. However, our assault groups have already closely approached Veselyi Hai. The only remaining road from the Yelyzavetivskyi forest is under dense fire control. The forest itself is gradually being cleared.

Russian forces delivered a combined strike on AFU targets in various regions of the so-called Ukraine, while also repelling Ukrainian drone attacks in several oblasts.

In the Oleksandro-Kalinovo direction, Russian forces advanced in the center of Dzerzhynsk and in the Zabalka microdistrict in the south of the city.

In the Kurakhovo direction, Russian troops expanded their control zone southwest of Dalnie and engaged in battles on the outskirts of Uspenovka.

In the Vremivka direction, fierce clashes are ongoing in the vicinity of Razdolne and Novyi Komarov, where Ukrainian formations are counterattacking the positions of the Russian Armed Forces daily.

 Morning Summary on December 5, 2024

▪️ At least 9 enemy UAVs were shot down over the Bryansk Region overnight.

▪️ The enemy reported overnight strikes on Shostka in Sumy Region, Myrhorod in Poltava Region, Krasnohrad in Kharkiv Region, Pokrov in Dnipropetrovsk Region, several settlements in Cherkasy Region, Zhytomyr, and Odesa Region. Geran UAVs and FAB bombs with JDAM were used. In the morning, reports of explosions in Kyiv started coming in.

The enemy’s position in several villages is effectively an operational encirclement, and their withdrawal is unlikely, especially since the AFU command prohibits its units from leaving their positions, despite the obvious futility of resistance.
