I don’t think that outrageous when you consider the Pentagon losess 3-5 billion and nobody is upset. Also, when anyone takes out a loan, the value of the collateral is determined by the activity making the loan. It is up to the loaning agency to ensure the collateral is secure enough to protect their interest. Trump may believe the collateral offerred is 7 billion to support a 5 billion loan but the loaner does not have to accept the value stated. Go take out a mortgage on your home and state the value at 1.2 million. The borrower is asking for a 500K loan. Value in the eyes of the borrower is irrelevant. The loaning agency would have the value privately estimated. The whole charge is ridiculous because the responsibility to determine the value of the collateral rests solely with the loaning company.

Do you know what is so stupid about this trial ? Bankers have their own accountants and assors and no matter what anybody evauates their assets at the bankers assors will over ride the opinion of Trump or anyone else . It is the job of the assors to make sure the bank does not lend more than they can get back should the borrower default . Bring this up and case is dismissed . The stupidness of this trial really shows the level of those involved !
