Everyone is pretty familiar with Bigfoot, Mothman and the Loch Ness Monster. In this book Richard does some deep researching into these monster icons and discovers some odd connections, more mysterious foot notes about these monsters that are really not that well known. In this book you will learn about the Morgawr, a sea serpent that lurks off the coast of Cornwall, or how about those mysterious and odd-looking Fresno Nightcrawlers? Yes! It’s all here.

Let’s take a step into this book and see what else is hiding in the shadows. This book is very fascinating. I have done some monster hunting and I can see from this book, Richard basically covers a whole lot! Richard also exposes some of the cryptid great hoaxes. A good example of that is the cryptid known as the Hodag from Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The legend has it that the Hodag is a powerful beast with the ferocity of a bear, the strength of an ox and so on. For a while people in the town believed the story, only to learn later on that it was nothing more than a hoax created by a trapper named Eugene Shepard. Find out what he did and how he pulled off this hoax in this book, you will be amazed. As I go through this amazing book, there are stories about Fenrir, the canine offspring of Loki and Angrboda. Fenrir was no joke, this monstrous werewolf attacked the powerful God known as Odin.

You will get detailed stories about various werewolves. If the Black-Eyed Kids creep you out, there in this book too. Certain parts of this book, you might want to have your lights on, especially when Richard talks about the Aswang and the dreaded Manananggal. You will learn about the grisly murder of Lara Mae Concodes by her uncle. The uncle believed that Lara was possessed by a Manananggal and the horrible things that happened to Lara by her uncle. You will be suffocated by the terror of the uncle’s actions. What does the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) think about zombies? Find out here in this book! So much information to absorb! Krampus, Morgawr the Sea Monster, vampires and did I hear that right? Mussolini was claiming that he caused the demise of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster?

There is a nice section about Mothman in this book. The Mothman story is very intriguing, especially since the Mothman was seen in my hometown of Sacramento in 2009. Richard has poured in a lot of information about the Mothman. You will also learn about the curse of Chief Cornstalk who was on the ground dying from multiple gunshot wounds. The Chief cursed the land where he was murdered at. People believe the curse brought on plane and train crashes, car wrecks, fire, flood, mining disasters and illness. Was the Chief’s curse connected to the appearance of Mothman? This book has the answers! Find out more about the mysteries of the Jersey Devil, Chupacabra and Bigfoot!
