When I was in Kindergarten, the teacher was asking all of the students…”what do you want to be when you grow up?” My answer was “astronaut”. When I was a little boy, I was obsessed with stories of space travel and my hero at the time was
Alan Shepard. Alan Shepard was a U.S. Navy test pilot, he became the first American in space and the second person overall on May 5, 1961. He piloted the Mercury spacecraft Freedom 7 on a 15-minute suborbital flight. His flight was a major triumph for NASA and helped restore faith in the U.S. space program after the Soviet success. After his dramatic recovery, he was celebrated as a national hero, with ticker-tape parades and awards. Shepard was one of the “Mercury Seven,” the first group of American astronauts selected for Project Mercury. My dream of being an astronaut never came to fruition, but my other dream jobs I was able to accomplish. When I became a Fortean Investigator, I was always intrigued when I heard that various astronauts were encountering high strangeness in space. NASA always tries to find an easy solution or answer to these strange encounters. This is something I would expect NASA to do, and the real answers are locked away in some government vault. My time in the US Army (MI) Military Intelligence showed me that MI was still investigating the UFO phenomena in 1981. Here is a list of strange encounters that our astronauts have witnessed. There is even a few cosmonaut stories included with this list.
While NASA does not officially endorse or confirm paranormal incidents, some astronauts have reported experiences in space that have been interpreted as such.
SPACE MUSIC
The incident that was called: “Apollo 10 “Space Music”. Strange whistling sounds, described as “outer-space-type music,” were heard by Apollo 10 astronauts during their orbit of the far side of the Moon. Though some believed it was extraterrestrial in nature, the sound was later attributed to radio interference. So, NASA says….
UNUSUAL SIGHTINGS
BEER CAN UFO
James McDivitt’s “Beer Can” UFO was seen during the Gemini 4 mission. James McDivitt reportedly saw and photographed an object outside the spacecraft that he couldn’t identify. The object looked like a “beer can with a smooth pencil-like wing sticking out”. The object disappeared due to sunlight glare.
SHINY OBJECT UFO
Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean reportedly saw a “shiny object” shaped like a “leather shoe” while on the Moon’s surface.
STRANGE LIGHTS OR SIMPLY FISHING BOATS?
During a 2005 spacewalk outside the International Space Station, Leroy Chiao reported seeing lights in a formation resembling an upside-down check mark. These lights were later identified as coming from fishing boats on Earth.
THE ALIEN SNAKE
Story Musgrave reportedly saw a long, white, snake-like or eel-like object in space. Musgrave himself indicated it was likely a lost piece of equipment from the space shuttle.

REPORTS OF STRANGE SOUNDS AND PRESENCES
DISEMBODIED VOICE & SCRATCHING SOUNDS OUTSIDE OF SPACECRAFT
One account details an astronaut hearing a voice and scratching sounds from outside their spacecraft.
OLEG HEARS STRANGE SOUNDS
A YouTube video claims that former ISS crew member Oleg Krylov revealed an encounter with a mysterious presence and strange sounds on the ISS.
HOLLOW MOON THEORY – THE MOON RINGS LIKE A BELL
This “ringing like a bell” phenomenon, along with other unusual observations, led to the hollow moon theory, the idea that the moon might be hollow. However, scientific studies have shown that the moon’s structure is not hollow, according to Popular Science. Ancient alien enthusiasts suggest that the moon is hollow. It is suggested that the moon is an extraterrestrial artificial satellite, that was placed in orbit around the Earth. The purpose of this artificial satellite is to observe the activities of the Earth. An extraterrestrial moon base for The Watchers.
THE SPACE KNOCKER
In a 2003 incident, China’s first astronaut, Yang Liwei, reported hearing a mysterious knocking sound from outside his space capsule during his flight. He described it as sounding like “knocking an iron bucket with a wooden hammer”. After returning to Earth, Yang attempted to replicate the sound for engineers, but was unsuccessful.

STRANGE REPORTS
SPACE FIREFLIES
The “fireflies” seen by astronauts in space, like John Glenn, are actually small particles of ice or frost, typically from spacecraft systems, illuminated by sunlight. These particles are often the result of condensation or decomposition of materials within the spacecraft, and when they are disturbed, they appear as glowing, moving dots. For example, Glenn’s “fireflies” were later identified as tiny ice crystals from the altitude control rockets.
SEEING ANGELS IN SPACE
In July 1984, cosmonauts aboard the Salyut 7 space station reported seeing celestial beings of light floating outside the station. Multiple crew members, including those who arrived later, reported similar sightings. These reports have been attributed to long-term stress and potential physiological effects of space travel, but the second sighting, shortly after a new crew arrived, presents a more challenging explanation.
UFOS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CRATER
Reports circulating online claim that Neil Armstrong, during the Apollo 11 mission, saw UFOs on the other side of a crater on the moon. These reports suggest Armstrong relayed this information to ground control, and even claimed the ships were “far superior” to Earth’s spacecraft. However, it’s important to note that NASA and other credible sources deny any such encounter occurred during the Apollo 11 mission. Some sources suggest a hoax claiming Armstrong saw UFOs was perpetuated by science fiction writer Otto Binder. While some astronauts have reported seeing unidentified objects in space, these sightings have not been definitively confirmed as evidence of extraterrestrial life.
END OF STRANGE REPORTS
So, there you have it. I truly believe there is something very strange going on in space and NASA is keeping it under wraps. When the Air Force closed Project Bluebook and said they were not interested in investigating UFOs, I knew this was a government lie, because I learned in 1981, the US Army Military Intelligence was actively investigating the UFO phenomena. I believe there are artificial structures on the moon and Mars, but NASA and other government agencies wish to explain it as a trick of light and shadow. One day the real truth will come out, but unfortunately that time is not now.
