It seemed to come in from a north-westerly direction and it crosses the northern United States and Canada, it then crosses the Atlantic Ocean, there are further bombardments of fragments on the European ice cap, and the final fragments hit as far afield as Syria. This would explain how any advanced pre-ice age civilizations disappeared from Earth.
