Movie Trailer: 399 Forever
News and Adventure from Glacier National Park
399 Forever, a new documentary by filmmaker Alex Stavrou, tells the story of Grand Teton’s most famous grizzly bear and the remarkable following she developed during her life. Filmed during what would become Grizzly 399′s final year, the documentary provides a closer look at the bear’s life and the people who observed, photographed, and advocated for her.
Between her birth in 1996 and her death on October 22, 2024, Grizzly 399 became one of the most recognizable bears in the Greater Yellowstone area, and was frequently spotted in Grand Teton National Park. During her twenty-eight-year life, she raised a whopping 18 cubs!
