A woman has taken a plea deal for killing her friend’s 6-week-old baby and hurting the infant’s twin brother while babysitting them back in 2024. …
Nicole Virzi pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, endangering the welfare of children and aggravated assault.
Those are misdemeanors compared to the actual crimes: torturing two infants and murdering one of them.
Leon Katz died from a severe skull fracture. His twin brother Ari also sustained injuries when in Virzi’s care.
When the twins’ parents took Ari to the hospital — with injuries to his genitals they later found out were caused by Virzi — she allegedly killed Leon, shaking him and hitting his head on the bathroom floor.
In court, the prosecution said Virzi told police that she “always had a compulsion she could not control to harm kids” and even Googled it.
It wasn’t her fault. She has a compulsion. She even sought help from Google. Don’t be surprised if Oprah Winfrey stages a show in her support.
