Liberals of the bleeding heart variety will be dismayed to learn that Florida has created a speed bump on the road to utopia.

Florida is becoming the first state to impose sweeping new limits on how welfare cash can be spent, blocking recipients from using cash-assistance benefits loaded onto EBT cards for purchases like tattoos, theme park tickets, video games, vaping products and other items not generally considered “basic needs” under a plan the Trump administration is urging other states to emulate.
The needy will also have to spend their own money to purchase pornography, body piercing, and fortune-teller services. Florida barred using EBT cards at adult entertainment establishments and casinos and to buy alcohol several years ago.
Florida’s cash-assistance program, known as Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), is funded through the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. It is separate from SNAP, the food-assistance program, though families may receive both types of benefits through separate balances on the same EBT card.
The average recipient gets about $250 per month; this will not be reduced.
Even in Florida, which has become a beacon of sanity and liberty since the USA’s best governor Ron DeSantis squeaked by in the 2018 election, the Democrat base has been using the government to force other people to finance their degeneracy.
Big Government confiscates as much as it sees fit of the wealth you produce and bestows it upon moochers who vote for a living. How is that not slavery?
