Chaos erupted in Washington Square Park in Manhattan as a vigil mourning the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei descended into violence Friday, with video capturing a man being pummeled to the ground while attempting to tear down a poster of the late Iranian leader.
Terrorist dictator Khamenei will be remembered for murdering his own people, for murdering Americans, and for conspiring to murder millions more with nuclear weapons.
Washington Square Park is about a mile and a half from where the World Trade Center once stood.
After the guy in the SpongeBob SquarePants sweatshirt punched the counterdemonstrator in the face, a major brawl might have ensued if the NYPD that Mamdani has called for defunding and dismantling had not been on hand:
Meanwhile, nearby counter-protesters waved Iranian, American and Israeli flags while chanting “U.S.A.”
Iranian flags were the pre-Islamic Revolution Lion and Sun version representing the Iranian people rather than the Islamic Republic of Iran Flag that represents the repressive maniacs who have ruled over them since 1979.
Flyers for the pro-Khamenei event praised the dead tyrant for opposing the “criminal American regime.”
