Legislative Survey – constituent feedback
Thanks to many of you that took the time to return the survey via postcard or respond thru the QR code!
I took time to read all replies and appreciate the feedback on your top three issues (Property Tax, Income Tax, Improve Roads/Bridges, Fight Crime were the ones most of you shared) as well as the road(s) you felt needed the most focus.
This helps me stay focused on what really matters to you instead of getting caught up in other issues that may gain more attention from the media but really aren’t ones that your family cares about.
Here are the results for the 3 “Yes/No” questions on the survey.
Should SC Republicans and Democrats have closed primaries?
57% said yes
43% said no
Should SC allow a casino if runds go to schools/roads?
53% said yes
47% said no
Should doctors be allowed to prescribe medical marijuana under certain conditions?
79% said yes
21% said no
Currently legislation dealing with those 3 topics are not on the current House calendar or in my committee; but I will continue to research and be ready for debate should those come up this session! Obviously, I’ll want more advice from y’all and share specific details ahead of the debate so you know the particulars.
