Nicolás Maduro and the ‘Zionist Plot’ Against Him

Dr. Johnson famously said — on April 7, 1775, to James Boswell, who noted it down for posterity — that “patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.” But for the very worst of the scoundrels, the last refuge, it turns out, is antisemitism. Narco-trafficking corrupt dictator Nicolás Maduro has continued the work of his predecessor, the narco-trafficking corrupt dictator Hugo Chavez, in turning Venezuela, with the largest oil reserves in the world, into a hellhole of poverty and violence, from which eight millions Venezuelans have now fled.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said Zionists were trying to deliver his country to “devils” in a Saturday Bolivarian Integral Base Committees speech focused on pleading with the US against military escalation in the region.

“There are those who want to hand this country over to the devils – you know who, right? The far Right Zionists want to hand this country over to the devils,” said Maduro. “Who will prevail? The people of [King] David, the people of God, the people of [Simón] Bolívar, or the imperialist demons?”

Maduro cast the image of Venezuela as King David facing an American Goliath, saying that the king had both faith and God’s blessing.

“We are the people of David against the Goliaths that we have already defeated in history,” said Maduro. “If God wills it, we will face them.”

Wrong again, as a matter of Biblical history, Mr. Maduro. Check your Bible, 1 Samuel 17:23, for the story of the young Jew, David, who was not yet a king, and armed only with his slingshot brought down the gigantic warrior, Goliath of Gath. Later, David became the King of Israel. King David — remember? The “people of David” are still alive, still fighting, and winning, against terrific odds. They are the people of Israel, they are David, the Jews whom you love to hate. The Arabs are Goliath.

And since you mention “the people of Bolívar,” need we remind you, Mr. Meduro, that several Jews, including Mordechai Ricardo and two brothers, Abraham and Ricardo Meza, provided Simón Bolívar with a refuge, and helped with the financing of his campaign against the Spanish, when he was in exile on Curaçao. These Jews, too, helped make the Bolivarian Revolution, and Bolivar remained forever grateful to them.

The president repeatedly emphasized that Venezuela was a Christian country, saying he wondered why Americans would want to kill Christians, amid a US military buildup in the Caribbean and strikes on alleged drug trafficking vessels. “I place at the forefront of this battle our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom our homeland has been entrusted, the only king between heaven and Earth, Jesus of Nazareth, the young child and Palestinian martyr, Jesus of Nazareth,” Maduro repeated.

Maduro seems to think that Jesus was a Palestinian. While Mahmoud Abbas and other Arabs may call him a “a Palestinian,” as part of their rewriting of history, every schoolboy in the Western world knows that Jesus was a Jew.

“I place Jesus of Nazareth as commander-in-chief of the battle for peace and the sovereignty of the Venezuelan people.”

Jesus, alas, is not around now, but if he were, I’m sure he’d not embrace the narcotrafficker Nicolás Maduro, the dictator who has caused such misery for millions of people in Venezuela. He’d be much more likely to lead a popular uprising to remove this crooked despot’s knee from the people’s collective neck.

Maduro made repeated appeals [in his latest public appearance in Caracas] in broken English to the American people, urging them to say “no” to war and “yes” to peace, and danced on stage to John Lennon’s “Imagine.”

Anti-Israel groups have also tied Israelis to tensions in the Caribbean. The National Students for Justice in Palestine group announced on Friday[November 14] a national day of action to “smash imperialism” and “crush Zionism.”

It is a bizarre charge: “Zionists” — that is, Jews — are somehow to be blamed for the Trump administration’s campaign to blow up the boats of suspected narcotraffickers. There is not the slightest bit of evidence for this. One might as well blame “the Zionists” for the alleged climate crisis, or the spread of Covid. But Maduro has now revealed himself to be not only an antisemite himself, but the cause of antisemitism in other men, by appealing to ancient wellsprings of hatred for the Jews, hoping he can exploit that oldest hatred as a way to deflect attention from what he undeniably is, an associate, friend, and defender of the most important narcotraffickers in the Cartel of the Suns (Cartel de los Soles).

The Wednesday protest day against US military action targeting drug cartels and alleged drug boats asserted that “security” was a pretense for imperialist expansion.

What “imperialist expansion”? A handful of boats have been destroyed, 81 suspected narcotraffickers have been killed. No land or resources have been taken from Venezuela, and none will be. If the Americans can crush the drug cartels in Venezuela, law-abiding Venezuelans will also benefit. Only such people as Nicolás Maduro will suffer.

“As students engaged in the struggle for Palestinian liberation, we recognize these strikes as part of the same machinery that arms the Zionist entity’s genocide of the Palestinian people,” said the SJP.

“Our struggle situates itself in a global struggle against imperialism, and we know when we strike the institutions in the belly of the beast, we weaken the chain that props up the Zionist entity’s occupation of Palestine. Likewise, we know that we must engage with anti-imperialist struggles wherever they manifest in order to weaken the chains that wrap themselves around our homelands,” it continued.

There is this “imperialism,” see, which is all over the world, but with America situated at its black heart, and these imperialists help to sustain, for some unknown reason, the “Zionist occupation of Palestine.” And since everything is connected to everything else in this titanic struggle of Good and Evil, those who support “Palestine” must also support anti-imperialists everywhere. When a bomb goes off in New York or Washington, London or Paris, Melbourne or Delhi, that strikes a blow for “Palestine.” And when we kill the Zionists, we are not just helping the Palestinians regain the land that was stolen from them thousands of years ago, but striking a blow for freedom-fighters everywhere.

Wherever there is evil, the Zionists are there. Let’s make sure they are stripped of their state, and forced again to wander the earth without a national home, a just punishment either for killing Our Lord Jesus (Christian version), or for being the greatest in enmity to Muhammad, and his murderer (Muslim version).
