Last week (September 17) CRC released a new report from investigative researcher Ryan Mauro: Soros’ Open Society gave $80 million to pro-terror groups

The report reached this conclusion:

Since 2016, George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF), now run with his son Alexander, has poured over $80 million into groups tied to terrorism or extremist violence. The evidence is stark: Open Society has sent millions of dollars into U.S.-based organizations that engage in “direct actions” that the FBI defines as domestic terrorism.

The report broached a contentious claim, stating that the group “has poured over $80 million into groups tied to terrorism or extremist violence.” It cited as one example al-Haq, a Palestinian human rights group critical of Israel. The report noted that the Israeli government declared in 2022 that al-Haq was a front for terrorist activity.

Ryan Mauro, counterterrorism expert and Capital Research Center investigative researcher, told Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck on “The Glenn Beck Program” on Wednesday both that the findings in the report “are shocking” and “today, the counteroffensive begins.”

The Capital Research Center indicated that Open Society has awarded at least $23,275,000 to seven groups that allegedly “directly assist domestic terrorism and criminality on U.S. soil”; at least $50.57 million across 41 groups that have allegedly endorsed terrorist attacks and/or are directly linked to foreign terrorist groups or their known front groups; and nearly $10 million to five nonprofits that allegedly qualify as associates of terrorist groups or pro-terrorist groups.

Amid President Donald Trump officially designating Antifa a domestic terror organization, a new report details how a prominent billionaire may be funneling millions to extremist groups engaging in violent uprisings nationwide.

A new report from Capital Research Center details how billionaire George Soros’s Open Society Foundations has given more than $80 million to groups “tied to terrorism or extremist violence.”

The foundation has awarded more than $23 million to seven groups “that directly assist domestic terrorism and criminality” in the U.S., including engaging or providing material support to “violence, property destruction, economic sabotage, harassment” among others that meet the domestic terrorism definition, according to the report.

Just the News: Report: Soros foundation gave $80M to groups tied to ‘extremist violence’

The report, authored by Ryan Mauro, details a nexus between domestic terror activities and support for international terrorism, specifically Hamas, in addition to communist sympathizers.

“Open Society has sent millions of dollars into U.S.-based organizations that engage in ‘direct actions’ that the FBI defines as domestic terrorism,” according to the report. “These groups include the Center for Third World Organizing and its militant partner Ruckus Society, which trained activists in property destruction and sabotage during the 2020 riots, the Sunrise Movement, which endorsed the Antifa-linked Stop Cop City campaign, in which activists currently face over 40 domestic terrorism charges and 60 racketeering indictments.”

The report highlights the Sunrise Movement, which it says has received at least $2 million from Open Society, adding that it has “endorsed and solicited financial support” for Antifa-associated groups such as Stop Cop City/Defend the Atlanta Forest coalition. The coalition has been tied to arson and violence against law enforcement and utility workers, including an attack on the construction of a police training center by throwing Molotov cocktails, bricks and rocks, as well as setting construction equipment on fire.

Since 2020, the Open Society Foundation has given $400,000 to the Center for Third World Organizing (CTWO), which boasts it “threw down with people in the streets” during the George Floyd riots, CRC noted. CTWO has consolidated radical groups into its hub, including the Ruckus Society, whose founders and training materials endorse tactics that “may be outside of the law,” CRC says. The network also includes the BlackOUT Collective, which co-authored a pro-Hamas guide that glorifies the October 7 attacks and references a Ruckus Society manual promoting tactics like property destruction and blockades.

“This DOJ, along with our hard-working and dedicated U.S. attorneys, will always prioritize public safety and investigate organizations that conspire to commit acts of violence or other federal violations of law,” Justice Department spokesman Chad Gilmartin told the Times.

The directive cites a report from the Capital Research Center, a conservative watchdog group, which says that OSF has given more than $80 million to “groups tied to terrorism or extremist violence.”

That report said that OSF funded groups that “trained activists in property destruction and sabotage during the 2020 riots,” backed the violent Stop Cop City campaign in Atlanta, and instructed “activists in the use of false IDs, blockades, and economic disruption” to protest Israel.

For example, per Mauro, the Soros machine “funneled more than $2.3 million into Al-Haq, a nongovernmental organization (NGO) based in the West Bank and long accused of ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), which the European Union and the United States designate as a foreign terrorist organization.” On September 4, Secretary of State Marco Rubio sanctioned Al-Haq and two other organizations for engaging in “efforts by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate, arrest, detain, or prosecute Israeli nationals, without Israel’s consent.” In effect, as Mauro wrote, “Soros’s foundation has not only financed extremist groups within the United States but also funneled millions abroad to entities now formally sanctioned by Washington.”

On Wednesday, Ryan Mauro of the Capital Research Center released his report about the tentacles of the George Soros empire in the violent movements on college campuses and America’s streets. It’s quite enlightening. You should read it. The most salient part of his research concerns the funding of Antifa’s violent takeover of what they called “Cop City” in Atlanta.

Antifa expert, independent reporter Andy Ngo, said he thinks there might be some problem going after Antifa as a terrorist organization because, under current U.S. law, there must be an international touchstone.

Mauro’s report may indeed be the international touchstone connecting Antifa in America. On page 60 of his 95-page report, Mauro discovered that the Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, which has ties to Hamas and the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees, helped support the Antifa group in their “Stop Cop City” reign of terror.
