Obituary for Dr. Gregory Joseph Brannon
Gregory Joseph Brannon, a Son of God, beloved husband and father to seven children, 64, of Cary, North Carolina passed away in his home on July 27, 2025 leaving behind many grieving hearts.
He was born in Southern California in 1960 to Estelle Brannon and was born and raised there with his brother, Anthony Brannon. Greg attended University of Southern California before attending medical school studying obstetrics and gynecology. He was a cherished OBGYN for 27 years and continued as the Founder and Medical Director at Optimal Bio for 7 years.
Greg was a dear husband to Jody Brannon and devoted father to Tylar, Peter, Madison, Greyson, Lily, Cali, and Mia Brannon, his joys. He always called Jody his bride even after 38 years of marriage. Being a father and grandfather was his dream life. Greg’s goals were to teach people about the love of Jesus Christ, adore Jody, pour into his family, and make people’s lives healthier and happier. He accomplished those goals for decades. He shared his love of sports with his kids, especially his love of USC football, golf, and of course, watching The Sandlot every July Fourth.
