Ben Cohen, the “Ben” of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, was arrested on Wednesday by Capitol Police in Washington after authorities say he disrupted a congressional hearing as Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was testifying.
As he was dragged away so that the grownups could talk, Cohen raved about children being oppressed by resistance to Hamas and by insufficient entitlement spending.
Cohen’s latest indulgence in self-parody was contrived:
Cohen appeared to have someone standing by to record the incident, and video of it was posted on X.
Prepared questions were lobbed to him in the hallway outside so that he could bark more moonbattery in defense of Hamas. Those with the stomach for it can see the whole spectacle on X.
We’ll see if it helps his ice cream sales.
Even Ben & Jerry’s parent company, the annoyingly woke British conglomerate Unilever, has had enough of these aging hippy kooks.
No word on when Ben & Jerry’s will return the land it stole from Indians.
