Sharing Bible References: Please read the following information and verses to determine the answers to the above-mentioned question:To whom did Jesus gave his power and authority to go and do?Jesus gave His power and authority to the 12 Disciples (Mathew 10:1, Luke 9:1-24) who later became the Apostles and the other 70 Disciples (Luke 10:17-19).

Here are some of the differences between whom Jesus gave His Power and Authority to then and now:

1. Jesus gave His Power and Authority then to his followers who were yet not ‘Born Again’ but obeyed the Old Testament’s “God’s Ordinance to take certain animals without any blemish to the Priest, lay their hands upon the sacrifice and ask for forgiveness of their sins and the Priest will offer the Blood Sacrifice” on the Fire of the Altar because this was before Jesus had become the sacrificial lamb of God in our place and though being Sinless Himself took our sins upon Himself had yet not died or resurrected .
2. Jesus was the only one then who was anointed by The Holy Spirit. But the 12 and then the 70 Disciple had firsthand personal relationship with Jesus and got to know Him and personally witnessed how Jesus went about healing the sick and breaking the power of the Demonic Spirits.
3. Jesus had not yet destroyed Satan and took back The Keys of Death and Hell from him.
4. They did not have any of the New Testament’s written God’s Word.

Here are some of the differences between whom Jesus gave His Power and Authority to His followers now:

1. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our redemption from sin and Satan with His Broken Body, Shed Blood and submitted His Spirit to The Father on the Cross believing the promise Father gave Him that ON THE THIRD DAY WOULD BE MADE WHOLE and died and then was raised in hell ON THE THIRD DAY by God to crush the head of Satan (As Prophesied in Genesis 1) and take back the keys of Death and Hell which Satan had stolen from Adam and Eve.
2. Besides Jesus had given us His Word in John 16 and Mark 11:22-33 Jesus  instructed the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they receive The Holy Spirit and He will give them the power. Luke 24:49.( NKJV) – 49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but to tarry in the city [of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”. Every person who now has excepted Jesus and are ‘Born Again’ have The Holy Spirit living in them.
3. The followers of Jesus are now ‘Born Again’ and are now Temple of The Holy Spirit and now also have The Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit abiding in us. John 14:15-18 “15 If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.”
4. The followers of Jesus since His death. resurrection and now have the Ministry of The Holy Spirit plus The New Testament’s Word (Promises) and presence of God 24/7 to spread the Gospel, Heal the sick and Free those who are bound by the enemy TO GLORIFY JESUS and see the same results as the Apostles and The Disciples .experienced.

Parting thoughts:

The above scriptures revealed the main purpose God sent His Son, Jesus was to spread the Gospel to restore His creation Man to again have THE ETERNAL LIFE, the status and power once Adam and Eve had and again have Dominion over all the Earth, replenish it and destroy the works of Satan and his Demons. All through the ministry of Jesus God worked through Him to demonstrate His power and authority over the conditions Satan and Demons had succeeded in implementing and is continuing to do so because the followers of Jesus today do not see the same results is because we have not believed what Jesus taught us in John Chapter 16 and Mark Chapter 11:22-33 and “to have Faith in God”.
