FBI, Homeland Security cast doubt on N.J. drone reports, echoing White House statements

The FBI and U.S. Department of Homeland Security said Thursday that after trying to corroborate reports of mysterious drones flying at night over New Jersey in recent weeks, “it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft, operating lawfully.”

The statement, released after 5 p.m., came shortly after a White House spokesman told reporters that experts looking into reported drone sightings have been unable to confirm “any” of the reports.

“Upon review of available imagery, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft that are being operated lawfully,” John Kirby, the Biden administration’s national security spokesman, said at a press briefing.

The FBI had asked the public for reports and video of the supposed drones, receiving more than 3,000 tips. There had been 180 drone sightings reported Tuesday night, according to a briefing of state and local lawmakers Wednesday.

Drones reported over 2nd N.J. military facility, Navy says

At least two drones were spotted above another military base in New Jersey during the recent surge in unexplained sightings across the state, Navy officials said.

Naval Weapons Station Earle, a military base in Colts Neck in Monmouth County, has had two reports of drones in its airspace, facility spokesman William Addison said Thursday.

“While no direct threats to the installation have been identified, we can confirm at least two instances of an unidentified drone entering the airspace above Naval Weapons Station Earle,” he said. “The base remains prepared to respond to any potential risks, leveraging robust security measures and advanced detection capabilities.”

If you’re unfamiliar with Earle, go take a look at a map: Earle, a US Navy installation, is mostly not on the ocean. It’s not on a river. It’s a bit inland, except for the small area along the Raritan, but, the main base is around Colts Neck

Because it is a weapons research center. I drove by it many times growing up in Jersey, and security was pretty darned tight. It reportedly has anti-ballistic missile weapons, which were also banned per treaty with Russia, but, would be in a perfect spot to intercept ICBMs aimed at NYC. Private/commercial planes do not just fly over Earle like this, certainly not at low level.

You can actually see two actual airplanes flying, with the flashing lights and linear movement, which are further away and not directly over Earle. Why is the Biden-Harris admin allowing this? At this point, it’s starting to look like a coverup. If they do not know whose they are, shoot the down.

(AP) A U.S. senator has called for mysterious drones spotted flying at night over sensitive areas in New Jersey and other parts of the Mid-Atlantic region to be “shot down, if necessary,” even as it remains unclear who owns the unmanned aircraft.

“We should be doing some very urgent intelligence analysis and take them out of the skies, especially if they’re flying over airports or military bases,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut said Thursday, as concerns about the drones spread across Capitol Hill.

Flying over military bases is a threat. Try standing around at the fence to watch what’s going on: the MPs will come over to see what you’re doing, and possibly chase you away. Drones are also now being reported over the NYC area.
