A municipal worker in Auderghem has been fired for serious misconduct as a result of a video in which he is seen insulting the graves of the dead in a cemetery in the Brussels municipality, DH (news) reports.

“Cemetery of Kuffirs (Unbelievers), cemetery of (people who stink)”, says, in particular, the man in work clothes in this video disseminated about 10 days ago by an X account claiming to be “a whistleblower against Islamism”. The images provoked numerous indignant reactions on social media.
Calling the incident, “totally unacceptable”, the mayor of Auderghem, Sophie de Vos (DeFI party), and her municipal council unanimously decided on Tuesday, November 12 to fire the individual for serious misconduct, effective immediately. A judicial procedure is also in progress since a complaint was filed by the municipality. The man has since been interviewed by police.
