Texas Watchdog contributor to series that won RFK, Dart awards
We’re sending out another bushel of congratulations to our friends and colleagues at the Center for Public Integrity and National Public Radio — their multi-state investigation into sexual assault on college campuses has won two more major accolades.
Texas Watchdog was honored to have contributed to one of the installments in the series, which most recently won a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award from the Center for Justice and Human Rights that bears the late U.S. Senator’s name.
The series has also won a Dart Award from the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma at Columbia University.
Our contribution to the prose elements of the series included reporting on a series of assaults on the Texas A&M University campus several years ago.
The series also previously won a prestigious Peabody Award.
