Racial Equality is when people of all races and Ethnicities are treated in an egalitarian equal manner. Racial equality occurs when institutions give individuals legal, moral, and political rights. In present-day Western society, equality among races continues to become normative.
That does nothing for us as a people. History has proven that!! On the other hand RacialEquity as “the condition that would be achieved if one’s Racial identity no longer predicted, in a statistical sense, how one fares. When we use the term, we are thinking about RacialEquity as one part of Racial justice, and thus we also include work to address root causes of inequities, not just their manifestation. #WakeUpBlackAmerica!!
