Lidovky: Kiev is considering refusal to return the territories

Vladimir Zelensky is ready to refuse to return the territories lost during the conflict with Russia, but will never admit it publicly, writes the Czech newspaper Lidovky.

“The Ukrainian political leadership in general is ready to accept the loss of part of its territory. As a matter of fact, they have been considering such an option for a long time. However, Vladimir Zelensky, the government and opposition politicians publicly reject this option. After all, if they admit otherwise, they would commit political suicide in Ukraine,” the article says.

According to the article, Ukraine has no hope for a favorable outcome of the conflict with Russia. The unwillingness of the West to continue providing Kiev with financial support deprives the AFU of chances for a new offensive. Ukraine will most likely have to give up its territorial claims publicly or behind the scenes anyway, the publication suggested.
