Who I Am

I am not just a lymphedema advocate; I am someone who lives with lymphedema every day. Diagnosed with primary lymphedema, I’ve faced the challenges and triumphs that come with managing this condition. My personal journey fuels my passion to support others, driving me to become an expert in lymphedema care.

Why I’m a Lymphedema Expert

Over the years, I have immersed myself in the world of lymphedema, learning every facet of its management and treatment to better support those who struggle with it. Having been misdiagnosed for over 30 years, my journey has provided me with a unique perspective and deep understanding of the complexities associated with this condition. My experiences have not only given me profound insights into practical care strategies but also into the emotional and psychological aspects of living with lymphedema.

My Publications

I am the proud author of “Drop the Skirt – How My Disability Became My Superpower”, a book where I share my personal lymphedema story to inspire and encourage others.  I have also co-authored and compiled the lymphedema anthology titled “You Are Not Alone,” which brings together the voices of those affected by lymphedema, offering stories of hope, resilience, and community.

Additionally, I am one of the researchers and writers for the 2023 Lymphedema Summit: Forward Momentum; Future Steps in Lymphedema Management Consensus, with the publication date yet to be announced. This role allows me to contribute directly to advancing our understanding and management of lymphedema

The Lymphedema Blueprint Course

Understanding the need for comprehensive education, I developed the Lymphedema Blueprint Course—a resource designed to educate patients about effective lymphedema management techniques and the latest treatments.
