Over The Next 14 Days, We’re Sending 3,500 King James Bibles To 7 Different Jails And Prisons And We Need Your Help To Make It Happen

Over the next 14 days, we want to send 3,500 King James Bibles to 7 different jail and prison detention centers, and need your help to make it happen

Yesterday we brought you the story a David Korrok, a young man who was a drug addict, and a Satanist who found himself locked in jail with seemingly no way out. No way out, that is, until his mom put him on the NTEB prayer list and sent him a Bible from our Free Bible Program. I spoke with him on the phone and got all charged up with a renewed urgency for our Bibles Behind Bars program. Right now we have 7 jails, prisons and detention centers who need us to send them hundreds of King James Bible each. Towards that end, we’ve mapped out an ambitious 14-day schedule to meet our goal of sending them 400-500 Bibles per facility, and we need your help to do it.

These are the facilities that urgently need our help:

• The Stone County Regional Correctional Facility – Chaplain Alfred
• The East Alabama Medical Center – Chaplain Billy
• The Sebastian County Adult Detention Center – Chaplain Todd
• Laurens County SC Detention Center – Chaplain Teague
• The Union Correctional Institution – Chaplain Scott
• The Saint Johns County Jail – Chaplain Johnson
• The Monroe County Jail – Second Chance Ministries
• Lakeland Baptist Church Outreach – Pastor York SENT

Most of them we’ve already given Bibles to in the past, but guess what? They’re now out of them and need to be restocked. So by faith, and I gulp just a tad as I write this, we are sending each of those facilities 500 King James Bibles, New Testaments, scripture portions – whatever their particular need is. A rough estimate of just the cost of the printed materials is $15,000, the shipping is another story. This will be our greatest single-effort to date for Bibles Behind Bars, and to say I am excited to see it come to pass is an understatement. But it can’t happen without your help.

In each and every one of these places, there is a man or woman with a story just like that of David Korrok. We need to raise a minimum of $15,000 to cover the cost of these Bibles, and we need to raise it over the next few days.
