Shen Yun ‘Can bring harmony to the world’

PARIS— No need to introduce Professor Henri Joyeux. This famous cancer surgeon and lecturer is well known for his devotion to his patients as well as for his publications on the need for natural and organic food or the dangers of certain drugs.

A man of conviction concerned about the well-being of humanity, Professor Joyeux is a personality much appreciated by the French people.

On Saturday, Professor Joyeux was at the Palais des Congrès in Paris with his wife and grand daughters to experience Shen Yun. He describes the show as follows: “The history of ancient and modern China … Fantastic scenery, extraordinary colors, music, harmony!”

“We need this harmony, this gentleness, this humor and love in our country,” he said.

According to him, the show conveys, “a lot of emotions, but it goes very deep, it touches the deepest part of a being, and I think that’s wonderful, you have to thank the whole team! Extraordinary, really!”

These emotions come from the aesthetic aspect of the performance but also from the spiritual values conveyed.

China was once known as the land of the divine, and New York-based Shen Yun aims to expound on this and show audiences the 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through the arts.

“Very spiritual! That’s what’s interesting, whereas in our country, we can’t talk about spirituality, China, and the world,” he said.

According to Professor Joyeux, Shen Yun “can bring harmony to the world, gentleness and love.”

“It also shows at the end the excesses with mobile phones, the fight between each other, and I think that the ancient China, all of its past, we have to bring it back. We need to bring this heritage back to be more balanced in our society,” he said.

For him Shen Yun is “a real treat, you have to encourage people to come and see it because it will do them good, it soothes the soul, it soothes the heart, it soothes the intelligence … Extraordinary! I had a great time!”
