KSA dishes out on Qatar, McGill demonstrates multicultural tolerance and much more: Links 1 for June 8, 2024
1. What a pleasant breath of fresh air from the Saudi FM!
Thus, the Saudi Foreign Minister exposed Qatar’s support for terrorism. Qatar is the head of the snake and must be cut off pic.twitter.com/5LeGmpBK7Y

2. If it happened to her, it can and will (and occasionally maybe has) happened to you. Always keep your files off of your phone or a cloud service as soon as you have them. Buy a cheap external hard disk and make a habit of moving your files once a week or so from your phone to an external HD which you keep in a drawer when not moving files to it.
To be clear here, we don’t think that a woman should be able to direct the entire course of a man’s life because she chose to get pregnant, often without explaining that was the intention. The issue here is why does one man get to be protected from that, while the rest of us face judges that don’t give a damn about half the equation.
3. Different cultures have different ways of showing respect, and as a multicultural country we must learn how this works. For example, it has always been understood that in Japan to belch at the dinner table is a compliment to the host, that the meal was so good you didn’t stop chewing long enough to draw a breath. But what is less well known, is that in some socialist enclaves, one shows respect and admiration and even gratitude by spitting on your betters during ceremonies of rights of passage.
Shocking moment McGill student attending graduation SPITS on the university dean and her teachers while wearing a keffiyeh and holding a sign demanding the university divests from Israel.

4. You may have seen the term, “Mass line Maoist narrative attacks” here on this site now and again. Below,Victor Davis Hanson gives us an explanation of what that is, even of the narrator is unaware of what he is describing. Although he likely does know. My fave is still the UFO narrative attack from I think it was 2022 though. It’s my favorite because its always easier to see a tactic for what it is, when it doesn’t work. When it does, people can convince themselves the reasons where real.
5. National Post: LeBlanc says it would be ‘irresponsible’ to release names of MPs who aided foreign meddling
The public safety minister said the RCMP decides whether charges should be laid against MPs
OTTAWA — Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc is refusing to release the names of MPs believed to be aiding foreign powers, arguing to do so would be irresponsible.
LeBlanc testified Thursday morning before the House of Commons standing committee on public safety and national security. He said he has information on MPs who were identified as helping foreign powers in a report this week, but he said it is based on intelligence that might be unverified.
“These names are contained in intelligence reports, in some cases it’s uncorroborated or unverified intelligence information,” he said. “The idea that there’s a perfect list of names that is entirely reliable that should be released to the public is simply irresponsible.”
Well I guess we can be grateful that the minister did not say that the list of treasonous almost certainly Liberal MPs, although pretty sure all parties would be represented, wasn’t “Russian Disinformation.”. They say that History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme. Actually Mark Twain says that and then everybody, and this looks like a good example. Think the FBI and the Hunter Biden laptop. Let’s call it Schrödinger’s Laptop just to be clearer on it. The FBI is the box. The laptop is the cat. But in this example, the BOX gets to decide who gets to look in it and when. And of course objectively, like the cat example itself, the FBI always had the laptop or it didn’t and they reveal it when it suits them.
Think the RCMP and that list and you get how history rhymes.
Thank you all for checking out this site.
One last thing:
Why we must eschew the term democracy.
Good Morning!
Democrats have been talking about fighting for democracy for quite awhile now. They want to save democracy. This is a good review of what democracy stands for… ??pic.twitter.com/5X3SR0eb6y
