Canada’s War on Worship: Sean Feucht Attacked, Fined, and Banned for Praising Jesus

Sean Feucht, an American evangelical worship leader and outspoken Christian, has spent the past week under coordinated assault from Canadian government officials, state-funded media, radical Antifa agitators, and ideological enforcers posing as journalists. His “crime”? Publicly worshipping Jesus Christ—and refusing to bow to the Left’s authoritarian new-world order.
On July 25th, while performing at a church in Montreal, Feucht was attacked with smoke bombs allegedly thrown by Antifa members. Police made no arrests. The City of Montreal refused to condemn the violence and, in a stunning display of double standards, fined the church $2,500 for allowing Feucht to sing praises to God—claiming his worship violated “inclusion, solidarity, and respect.”

Canadian authorities then escalated the crackdown. Permits for his events in six cities—Halifax, Charlottetown, Moncton, Gatineau, and Vaughan—were revoked under the guise of “public safety.” The truth: there was no threat from Feucht, only threats against him. Rather than arresting the violent leftists, officials punished the victim.
The second leg of his Western Canada tour now faces the same fate. Canada’s National Post reports “more concert permit uncertainty” as cancellations pile up. Meanwhile, Islamic preachers and political activists freely tour Canada, openly calling for the destruction of the nation-state, the replacement of the rule of law with Sharia, the death of Jews, and the subjugation of Christians as second-class citizens—without any comparable interference from authorities.

If this is not an explicit conspiracy between leftist anti-Christian extremists and Canadian authorities, it is at the very least tacit collusion. We must not forget: since Justin Trudeau became Prime Minister, nearly 600 Christian churches in Canada have been burned or vandalized.

“This is worse than Iraq or Turkey,” Feucht told supporters in Ontario. “The place I’ve seen the most resistance to Christian worship isn’t in the Muslim world—it’s in Canada.” After being chased off the road, mobbed by protestors, and relentlessly smeared in the press, Feucht sought refuge in a farmer’s field in Alfred, Ontario, where hundreds gathered to worship in open defiance of tyranny.
The CBC, Canada’s state broadcaster, joined the pile-on. One Montreal reporter, Natasha, exposed a CTV/CBC journalist who had authored a hit piece on Feucht—after years of smearing conservatives. Independent journalists have documented the systemic bias against Feucht, and the glaring fact that Islamic and far-left performers never face the same restrictions or hostility.
The very next day, Feucht’s band performed again—this time in a field in Wilfred, Ontario. RAIR Foundation USA was there to witness it firsthand. The service was a standard evangelical gathering set to contemporary Christian rock, but when Feucht addressed the Montreal attack, the crowd erupted in solidarity.
On May 28th, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned that any nation interfering with the free speech of an American citizen would face consequences. Canada may soon find itself testing that promise.
