On The 25th Anniversary Of 9/11 New York City Is A Completely Different Place
In 2001, New York City was a beautiful place to live. It was clean, it was thriving, and it was safe. If you can believe it, all forms of crime were dropping and the murder rate was the lowest that it had been since the 1960s. But today things are much different. Violent predators roam the streets and drug addicts open their pants and go the bathroom right in the middle of the street. When the pavement gets hot, you can literally smell the urine wherever you go. The new Muslim mayor is also a Democratic Socialist, Muslims conduct huge public prayer services in Times Square, and new mosques are going up all over the city. If you would have told me that New York City was going to turn out like this 25 years ago, I never would have believed you.
At this point, approximately 535,000 “undocumented immigrants” live in the Big Apple.
No city in the United States has more.
A lot of them have not been able to find work, and as a result the homeless population is exploding.
It is estimated that there are now 350,000 homeless people in New York City, and in recent months some of the homeless encampments have grown extremely large…
A grotesque homeless encampment continues to expand on Manhattan’s West Side and now covers 12 city blocks with theft, drugs and prostitution flourishing in broad daylight, The Post has learned.
Dozens of tents and makeshift shelters now extend from 34th Street to 46th Street along 11th Avenue, a worrisome eyesore for local workers and residents as well as tourists lining up to visit the popular Intrepid Museum — with City Hall turning a blind eye and NYPD cops standing down because of a new policy.
“We cant get rid of them,” one city parks enforcement officer said Sunday. “These ones here are stealing everything. They stole our key for the hose. They stole our ladder. They take what they can. And there are escorts in there too. Prostitutes. I see them, they’re right there.
Of course a significant percentage of the homeless are drug addicts.
Public urination has become an extremely common sight, and the number of 911 calls to report it increased by almost 50 percent in just one year…
They put the pee-pee in the Big Apple.
Public urination violations are soaring across the boroughs, according to bladder-busting new data, revealing a nearly 50% increase in 9-1-1 calls related to the odorous offense since April 2025.
It’s an uptick in tinkling that’s more than a wee bit alarming.
The Big Apple also has the largest Muslim population of any city in the United States.
Back in July, a very popular streamer known as Sneako created quite a stir when he boldly declared that New York City is now “the Islamic Republic of New York-istan”…
“This is the Islamic Republic of New York-istan,” he continued. “Islam will be in every household. Inshallah the whole world will be Muslim.”
“Welcome to Mamdani’s New York. You see this city? You see how it looks? Inshallah, your city looks just like this too,” he shouted among the crowd.
Of course New York City is not an Islamic city yet.
But it is on the way to becoming one.
Muslims from all over the world have been flocking to the Big Apple in very large numbers.
As a result, the culture of the city is being dramatically transformed…
Half a century after dedicating its cover story to the question “Can Arabs make it in the Big Apple,” New York Magazine — the influential publication now owned by James Murdoch, Rupert Murdoch’s “wayward son” who is considered far more liberal than his father — is answering its own question. A sweeping cover story by the magazine, known for its ability to identify and reflect the city’s moods and trends (unlike the tabloid New York Post, for example) crowns the new New York “Habibi City” and is devoted entirely to the Arab culture, and Palestinian culture in particular, that has recently taken over the city.
The trend stems, of course, in no small part from the Hamas massacre on October 7, the war in Gaza and the rise to power of Zohran Mamdani, the first Muslim mayor in New York’s history, the magazine points out. From popular culture to food, stand-up shows and reading circles, to nightclub party lines and jazz club performances featuring keffiyehs, the Arab hipster has proudly embraced the derogatory nickname “Mamdanistan” and turned it into the proud slogan of a flourishing New York subculture.
The phenomenon covered by the magazine focuses on the SWANA generation, an English acronym for Southwest Asia and North Africa, which includes people from a range of countries and territories – from Palestine and Iran to Sudan. According to the article, written by journalist Zaina Arafat, this cultural energy has turned New York into a “Middle Eastern enclave” offering children’s workshops at a bookstore dedicated to Middle Eastern culture and Gaza fundraisers at a women-run Syrian supper club.
In some parts of the city, residents are now awakened at five o’clock in the morning by the Islamic call to prayer.
Yes, this is really happening.
For much more on the Islamization of New York City, I would encourage you to check out an excellent YouTube documentary that Nate Friedman recently produced entitled “I Exposed the Islamic Takeover of Manhattan”…
Now that Zohran Mamdani is the mayor, the Islamization of New York City will only accelerate.
This is something that every American should be deeply concerned about.
I was also horrified to learn that a 27 foot tall Buddha idol now towers over Manhattan…
Who in the world thought that this would be a good idea?
Apparently this 27 foot tall Buddha idol has been put up as an homage to a pair of giant Buddha statues that the Taliban blew up…
For the next year and a half, visitors to the ultra-modern Hudson Yards development on Manhattan’s far west side will be met by an icon of the ancient world. The fifth commission for the plinth on the High Line elevated park is an homage to the Buddhas of Bamiyan, the pair of 6th-century colossi in central Afghanistan that the Taliban blew up in 2001. The new sculpture is by the Vietnamese American artist Tuan Andrew Nguyen and is titled after the nickname locals in the Bamiyan valley gave to the larger of the two Buddhas, “Salsal”, which translates to “the light shines through the universe”.
“I hope this work becomes a site of inquiry and memory,” Nguyen says of his 27ft-tall sandstone monument. “It wasn’t intended to speak about this moment, but unfortunately it does resonate with what is happening in today’s wars.”
His sculpture is not an exact replica of either of the Bamiyan Buddhas, but is largely made of the same material: carved sandstone. The Buddhas’ hands were destroyed centuries ago in an earlier act of iconoclasm; Nguyen has created two monumental steel hands that float slightly away from the sandstone limbs, supported by tall rods. They make gestures symbolising fearlessness and compassion, and are cast from melted-down artillery shells sourced from Afghanistan—a process connected to Nguyen’s practice of turning unexploded ordinances from the Vietnam war into vessels of memory and healing.
This would have been unthinkable decades ago.
But now nobody seems to care.
New York City is being radically transformed right in front of our eyes, and that is a national tragedy.
25 years ago, it was such a great city.
But now it is suffering the same fate that Paris, London and so many other once great western cities are suffering, and that is extremely unfortunate.
