It doesn’t matter if the CPI doesn’t reflect reality, at least for now. The CPI was reported below expectations, and the majority believes it matters. They also believe that gold tracks inflation, the economy, something controlled by the Fed and/or President, is strong. Laugh, see through the perception game, and track the Evolution of the Trade (EOT). The EOT follows the invisible hand. We follow it to survive and thrive.

The higher gold and silver rally, the greater interest from the majority. While the majority loves to chase higher prices, it also loves to call tops. Emotions, opinions, perspective cloud the truth of when the composite trend becomes unstable. Most will get it wrong. We follow the invisible hand, and play the odds. Is the rally over?

Unlikely. The latest bullish energy build in the dollar, the third-largest since 2020 will continue until late-buying majority drives DI (blue line) toward the double red lines (see Chart).

How does the dollar rally impact gold? The dollar and gold typically move in opposite directions; when the dollar strengthens, gold declines, and vice versa. The slow and steady deterioration of confidence in governance and centralize decision-making, is breaking traditional relationships between assets. The growing positive correlation between gold and the dollar has been an important ongoing discussion in the Gold and Silver, Dollar, and U.S. Bond Reports. These changes are altering cycles. The gold rally within a bear cycle, for example, is major warning flag ‘Something Is Wrong.’  This was the title of an important Gold and Silver Report update.

Here’s the concern for a public looking to separate from the majority. Most people trust the stability of social, political, and economic structures, yet the “invisible hand” does not care what we believe. The dollar, gold, and other confidence-driven markets are rallying, while the public debates meaningless talking points on social media.

The endgame is approaching, yet the vast majority of the public is talking about inflation. The concept of inflation doesn’t mean much when the currency is cancelled. How do you protect yourself?
