SCUBA-DIVING archaeologists exploring the world’s biggest flooded cave system have discovered 9,000-year-old human bones and the remains of Ice Age creatures that once roamed the Earth.

Relics of the Mayan civilisation have also been found in the Sac Actun caves in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.
