“Fear God” What? A Message for Believers and Non-Believers. You Have Got to Read This!!!

I, perhaps like many of you, think of God as the “Ultimate Father”—One who loves me deeply and desires to parent me into becoming the very best I can be. I recognize all that He has done for me throughout my life and feel incredibly blessed to have Him in my life.

When I read the following scripture, I find the word FEAR difficult to process:

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”
— Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)

In these perilous times, as we witness the unraveling of the world’s systems—wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, moral decay, and the rise of false religion—one message rings loud and clear through the pages of the King James Bible:

Fear God.

But what does it truly mean to “fear God”?

It does not mean to live in terror of Him—but to live in reverent awe. It means to understand that He is holy, just, all-powerful, and sovereign. To fear God is to recognize who He is and to align our lives accordingly. It is a deep awareness that He sees all, knows all, and will judge all.

The fear of God is not bondage—it is freedom.

It’s the kind of fear that leads us to turn from sin, to walk humbly, and to stand boldly for truth even as the world plunges deeper into deception.

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”
— Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)

We live in an age where many have replaced the fear of God with a fear of man. People are more concerned about being politically correct than being biblically faithful. But God is calling His remnant back to the basics: Fear Him. Keep His commandments. Walk in truth.

As the final days unfold—days that many of us believe are leading to the return of Christ—we must cling to this fear, not as a crutch, but as a compass. It keeps us steady when the world is shaking. It keeps us faithful when others fall away. It keeps us ready when the trumpet sounds.

“Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”
— Revelation 14:7 (KJV)

So many today have forgotten God. They have pushed Him aside as nothing more than “the teachings of our parents” or “old-fashioned ideas.” God is no longer part of their lives.

When I read these same scriptures through the eyes of those who have abandoned God, I feel a different urgency. The understanding is completely different than that of someone who believes in God with all their heart.

As we approach what I believe are the final 7 years on earth—the “Tribulation Period”—I can see the wisdom of our Heavenly Father, especially in His urgent call to fear Him.

We understand that the end times serve as the final period to bring people to Jesus Christ. It is the will of the Father to give everyone a chance to accept Christ as Savior and dedicate their lives to Him. And yet, many still turn away from His call.

At the same time, God will be doing battle with the evil upon the earth—specifically with the Antichrist, who will soon be revealed, and those who choose to follow him.

Here is God’s strategy for bringing people to Christ during these final 7 years:

📜 1. The Preaching of the Gospel to the Whole World

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
— Matthew 24:14 (KJV)

Even in earth’s darkest hour, God shines His light. The gospel won’t stop during the Tribulation—it will intensify. Through various means, God ensures that every person has a chance to hear the truth.

👥 2. The 144,000 Evangelists

“And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”
— Revelation 7:4 (KJV)

God raises up 144,000 believers—12,000 from each tribe of Israel. These are sealed, protected, and sent out to evangelize during the Tribulation. They are bold, unstoppable, and fearless in proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ.

Selfishly, I pray I can be on His “missionary team” as one of these 144,000, teaching about Jesus Christ and the saving grace of the Atonement.

👁️ 3. The Two Witnesses

“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days…”
— Revelation 11:3 (KJV)

These two powerful witnesses—possibly Moses, Elijah, or others—will preach in Jerusalem for 1,260 days. They’ll perform miracles, call people to repentance, and proclaim truth. Their death and miraculous resurrection will shake the entire world.

It is my personal belief that these two witnesses will be assigned specifically to teach the Jewish people in Israel, helping them see that Jesus is the true Messiah.

👼 4. Angelic Proclamation

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth…”
— Revelation 14:6 (KJV)

When man refuses to listen to man, God sends an angel. This is the only time in Scripture that an angel preaches the gospel—revealing how far God will go to reach the lost.

I also find it fascinating how many people around the world today are having dreams of Jesus Christ—even in places where Christianity is restricted or persecuted.

🩸 5. Judgment as a Megaphone

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not…”
— Revelation 9:20–21 (KJV)

God uses judgment as a warning system. The collapse of the world is meant to awaken hearts. Some will harden, but others will repent.

“Fear God” fits perfectly into how God deals with the stubborn—those who refuse to listen even during the final 3.5 years. As Scripture reveals, He will pour out His “bowls of wrath” on the Antichrist and his followers (see Revelation 16:1–21, KJV).

🔥 6. The Power of Martyrdom

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
— Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

Millions will come to Christ during the Tribulation—and many will die for their faith. But their sacrifice will not be in vain. Their testimony will inspire others to believe.

❤️ 7. God’s Mercy Throughout It All

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
— 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

Even in wrath, God remembers mercy. His heart longs for salvation, not destruction. Every act during the Tribulation is a final, urgent invitation to repent and be saved.

🕊️ Final Thought

God will not be silent in the last 7 years—He will shout through every possible means:

• Preachers
• Prophets
• Angels
• Judgments
• Martyrs
• Miracles

He will not leave Himself without a witness.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith…”
— Revelation 3:22 (KJV)

Let that holy fear drive you to your knees. Let it led you to repentance. Let it stir a fire within you to share the gospel while there is still time. Warn others. Prepare your household. Seek the Lord while He may be found.

Because soon:

• Every knee will bow.
• Every tongue will confess.
• Every soul will stand before God.

To the non-believer: FEAR GOD, for He will teach you through the “hard way” if you refuse to listen.

To the believer: RESPECT AND TRUST GOD, for He will not let us down. He will guide us through the Tribulation.

I recognize that the 144,000 who will be called, will come as a direct “Calling” from our Father in Heaven, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t put in an application. =) Let God know through your prayers and actions that you would like to be on this “Missionary Team.” This to me would be the ultimate call to get off of the bench and into the game, in these final days. I pray that I can be found worthy in accepting such an assignment.
