A Message of Hope: The Good People of South Africa

In the face of xenophobic violence, it’s essential to remember that the majority of South Africans are good, generous, hardworking, and selfless individuals. These remarkable people work alongside foreign nationals, do business together, and maintain a positive attitude towards others.

I salute these South Africans who embody the spirit of kindness and compassion.

Unfortunately, a small minority of individuals, driven by laziness, hatred, and a penchant for crime, tarnish the reputation of the entire nation.
The current problem is the Democratic Alliance (DA) Home Affairs’ operation to arrest undocumented immigrants. This ‘Operation’ must be stopped. It’s not reducing crime, but increasing crime and harassing immigrants. Disturbing Taxi business, disturbing peace in Malls when police raid Malls and Taxis searching for undocumented immigrants.
Undocumented immigrants are not criminals. These are poor and suffering Africans who need help and compassion of the South African government.

Thousands of so-called undocumented immigrants are charged bribes between R1000 and, R5000. Since the inception of this operation more officers are taking these bribes. This is an increase in crime.

Some undocumented immigrants are being helped by Black South Africans doing domestic work, some selling vegetables in streets trying to feed their children in the face of ever-increasing poverty and hardship.

9 “Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners because you were foreigners in Egypt.” Exodus 23:9

18 “He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing.”

However, the overall picture is optimistic. During these challenging times of unemployment, hunger, poverty, and violence, many South Africans are stepping up to help Zimbabweans and other immigrants. Ordinary citizens and leaders alike are working together to protect and support those in need.

The forces of good are prevailing, and it’s crucial to spread awareness about the positive efforts of the majority. Let’s focus on promoting unity, love, and acceptance.
