Bible Story of the Day

Scripture is the story of Jesus, from Genesis to Revelation. There are over 400 prophecies and representations of Jesus in the Old Testament alone. The Old Testament pointed forward to the coming Christ, and the New Testament points back to Jesus. The Bible is a record of redemption through Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death when He died on the cross and resurrected three days later. The New Testament was written almost 2000 years ago. Some of the Old Testament was written over 4000 years ago. The Bible Story of the Day not only shows Jesus throughout scripture but shows how scripture is relevant to our lives today. Seeing Jesus in scripture is a major step into understanding who our God is, and how He impacts and affects our lives in every moment. I pray that the Holy Spirit opens your mind to understanding the verses and how they affect your life and gives you a better understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. I will post a link to the chapter that each passage is from, so that you can read further on your own.

Son of God

1 Chronicles 17:13

I will be his father and he shall be My son; and I will not take My loving kindness away from him, as I took it from him who was before you. (NASB).

Where is Jesus and What Does This Mean to Us?

1 Chronicles 17 is a chronical of David building the temple of God. The Ark of the Covenant has sat in a tent for years now as the nation has wandered in the wilderness and settled into the promise land. Time has come that God requires more from the Israelites. This is a continual process of obedience. In Jesus, this would be like the sanctification process. The process is never made complete while we are on earth and have sin in us. David receives instructions on how the temple is to be built; a blueprint if you will. This builds up to the idea that Jesus will be the eternal temple and will come from the bloodline of David. This verse speaks of the coming Jesus, who is the Son of God. God proclaims, through the chronicler that the coming Messiah will be His son, and He will come with loving kindness.

What does this mean to us? Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus has been given all authority in Heaven and earth. Jesus came 2000 years ago to offer us something we had not had, grace. Grace is the buffer between our sinful state and God’s righteous anger towards sin. God loves His people, us, but He despises sin. He poured His wrath onto a sinful world during the days of Noah when there was the great Flood. He has punished the nation of Israel through the ruthless hands of nations such as Babylon and Assyria. God blessed them, protected them, and punished them for their sinful ways. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because everyone there was wicked. Jesus brought us grace. He took the wrath of God, the punishment we deserve for our sins, so that we would not have to experience what those who were before us experienced.

Jesus came to offer grace to everyone. God accepted Jesus as the prefect sacrifice for our sins. Only those who accept the grace from Jesus are under His protection. Just as in the old days when people were under the protection of their king. They served him obediently and he made sure nothing happened to them. Those that went into the wilderness were left on their own. They made the choice and had to deal with the consequences. The same goes for the kingdom of Jesus. He is our King that offers protection from everything that is outside the walls, including the wrath of His Father. The choice is ours whether we accept His grace and protection. This verse proclaims Jesus is the Son of God, and that He will come with loving kindness. He has come, and He showed love and kindness. Hebrews 1:5 repeats the Old Testament verse and confirms Jesus as the Son of God.

Heb 1:5,

For to which of the angels did He ever say,

“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You”?

And again,

“I will be a Father to Him
And He shall be a Son to Me”?

John 3:16, ““For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (JESUS), that whoever believes in Him (JESUS) shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Will you accept the grace of Jesus and join Him in the Kingdom that has no ends?

You and destined2b are of the same opinion — Any Word of God that contradicts your beliefs must be ignored no matter what.

For years now I have used scripture to point out the lies and deceptions of destined2B and now I will add you to the list.

“Only those who accept the grace from Jesus are under His protection.”

It is the grace/kindness of the Father not Christ — while we were yet sinners the Father sent His Son to die for evil sinners. That is Grace that is the kindness of the Father and that the definition of Grace.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ — died – for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us,————– in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

It is the kindness of the Father that allows us to be saved -through- the sacrifice of Jesus Christ —-

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Seeker the Grace of the Father is the fact He allowed His Son to die for ungodly sinners, sinners that refuse to obey the 10 Commandments.

Jesus Christ came to turn you “seekethetruth” away from your sins and sin is the transgression of THE LAW. 1 John 3: 4

26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, — in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Jesus Christ came to show us how to live the Godly WAY, the WAY of the Torah and mankind hates God’s WAY of LAW and mankind, not just the Jews, killed Jesus Christ because every last person that has ever lived — love the way of sin.

Seeker you are teaching YOUR religion not GOD’s WAY, not that WAY Jesus Christ lived as the example we must follow. If that were not true then you would not just simply ignore the scriptures proving you do not know that WAY.

” Jesus Christ came to show us how to live the Godly WAY”…with a Fogger in his Hand, only to become the World’s
Greatest MARTYR… Actions always speak loader then Words.

        Cheers, Uncle Hexy
