After the Late Korean Drama Actor Jo Min Ki’s Death: Jung Il Woo, Yoo Ah In Under Public Scrutiny; Restraining Order for Reporters

After the late Korean drama actor Jo Min Ki’s death on March 9, a series of reports followed. Actors Jung Il Woo and and Yoo Ah In are under public scrutiny for their social media posts. Other than this, the late actor’s family requested restraining orders for reporters.

With the late Korean drama actor’s demise, Jung Il Woo and Yoo Ah In posted meaningful messages on their SM accounts. It was assumed that they were written with regards to Jo Min Ki’s sudden death, after various sexual harassment allegations.

Korean drama actor Jung Il Woo posted on Instagram a blank black picture with a caption saying “Pray for you.” The actor had history with the late actor. They were both in the 2013 Korean drama titled Golden Rainbow. Netizens naturally guessed that the post was in memorial and respect for the late actor.

The public did not hesitate in conveying their discomfort towards the 30-year-old Korean drama actor. He then deleted his post shortly afterward. Up to date, he has not spoken anything about the post or Jo Min Ki.

On the other hand, Korean drama actor Yoo Ah In posted a short video clip. It was a person being tied down and burned to death while the people surrounding that person looked on. The 31-year-old Korean drama actor is known for his open communication with the fans. He approaches the issues of the society with his own honest opinions. He posts his thoughts on his social media account.

The video clip was clearly very suggestive of the situation witch hunt. Netizens were quick to catch up that the video was referring to Jo Min Ki’s case. Even though his post is currently under public scrutiny from angry netizens, Yoo Ah In did not give any explanation or even delete the said post.

Jo Min Ki’s death truly divided the people. There were some that defended his demise, saying he should not be disrespected any further. On the other hand, there were some people who still point fingers at him, saying he was irresponsible and cowardly until the end.

With Jo Min Ki’s death, these active arguments do not seem to rest. Meanwhile, his family has requested for restraining orders for reporters. The reason was that they wanted to send him off peacefully, with only close relatives and family. His family sent him off this morning at the Seoul Memorial Park.

The late Korean drama actor was respected as a veteran in his life with a solid filmography. Showbiz, nonetheless, is very cautious in paying respect for his death due to his sexual harassment allegations.

Thus, Jung Il Woo and Yoo Ah In who posted meaningful messages created headlines while other celebrities are quiet.
