Celebrity Intelligence reveals Ones to Watch list for summer 2017

London, United Kingdom – Marketing intelligence tool, Celebrity Intelligence is pleased to reveal the latest instalment of its Ones to Watch list, an industry benchmark of the most promising up-and-coming talent.

Actor Josh O’Connor, who appears in the upcoming God’s Own Country, musician Billie Eilish, who has been dubbed ‘the next Lorde’, and cricketer Haseeb Hameed are among the actors, models, musicians and sports stars selected to be on Celebrity Intelligence’s Summer Ones to Watch list.

The list is published three times a year (spring, autumn, and winter) and predicts the next big things in the celebrity world. Previous stars featured include Billie Lourd (autumn 2015), Taron Egerton (autumn 2014), Harry Kane (winter 2014), Daisy Ridley (autumn 2014), and LÉON (winter 2015).

Billie Eilish
The 15-year-old singer has been described by Vogue as ‘Pop’s Next It Girl’. She released her first single at age 13 and her most recent song, Bellyache, has many critics calling her the next Lorde.

Clara McGregor
Model and daughter of Ewan McGregor who signed to Wilhelmina earlier in the year. 

Gianluigi Donnarumma
Italian professional footballer for AC Milan. The youngest goalkeeper ever to make his senior debut for the Italian national team. He has reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Harlea
Singer from North London who released her debut single last September to critical acclaim. She performed a debut solo show in London earlier this year and also performed in LA as part of All Saints Live LA Sessions.

Haseeb Hameed
Lancashire CCC and England cricketer who is primarily a right-handed batsman. Scored over 1,000 runs in the 2016 season, breaking Mike Atherton’s record. Became the youngest debutant to open for England in a test match, when he played against India in November 2016.

Josh O’Connor
Actor who, after appearing in TV shows such as The Durrells, is set to make waves on the big screen in God’s Own Country.

Kylian Mbappé
French professional footballer who plays as a centre-forward for Monaco and the French national team. He’s been described as a ‘wonderkid’ and likened to Thierry Henry. He’s been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Maggie Rogers 
Singer-songwriter protégé of Pharell who was discovered after infamously wowing him with her demo whilst at NYU. Is currently touring Canada and the US.

Sally Rooney
25-year-old Irish author whose debut novel, Conversations with Friends, was the subject of a publishing bidding war. Faber won and it is released in July 2017. Her work has also been featured in Granta magazine and she was named a ‘Fresh Face of Fiction’ by the Guardian.

Sigrid
Norwegian singer-songwriter signed to Island Records, best known for her single Don’t Kill My Vibe. She’s been dubbed ‘the new Lorde’ and performed a headline show in London in May.

Starley
Australian singer-songwriter known for the single Call On Me. She is signed to Epic Records and plans to release an album later this year.
