PR Bazaar rescheduled due to insufficient registrations
From the Personal Branding Blog
The PR Bazaar, a networking event for Maryland nonprofits and local news agencies, has been postponed due to low sign-up numbers from the news companies. Originally scheduled to take place at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, organizers are rescheduling, giving news agencies more time to express interest.
The goal of the PR Bazaar is to strengthen relationships between nonprofits and media to increase visibility and impact in the community. Despite the pause, commitment to this event remains strong and there is hope for widespread participation from news agencies.
Elizabeth Wrightson, President of the Public Relations Society of America’s Chesapeake chapter, announced the delay. According to her, this time will be utilized to enhance the event and better accommodate organizations.
Rescheduling PR Bazaar for better participation
With a dedicated team working diligently, when the event resumes it promises to be more beneficial and successful than previous editions.
The PR Bazaar has a rich history. Since its inception in 2003, it has been an annual event with some profits going to the Wendi Winters Memorial Foundation. After a three-year pandemic-induced break, the event resumed in 2021. Regardless of setbacks, the organizers’ commitment and participants’ enthusiasm secure the event’s successful future.
Now slated for the fall, registrants for the original date can expect a refund. While this delay may have caused inconvenience, the intention is to provide a better experience for all attendees.
Other stories making headlines include concerns voiced by Chris Dollar about the management of the Mid-Atlantic cobia stock, a Bike Rodeo focusing on bicyclist safety, glowing local sports coverage thanks to Brady Geho leading the Annapolis Blues to a 5-0 victory, and a ‘Best of Anne Arundel County 2024’ event recognizing top personalities, locations, and groups in the county.
