Talking Turkey About Trump
Theology and Politics from a Conservative, Biblical Perspective
We have merely days before the next presidential election, in which people will decide who will inhabit the Oval Office for the next four years. We’ve already read numerous accounts of Democrats doing what they can to cheat at the polling booths in PA and other states. A number of these attempted frauds (like people pretending to be official poll workers telling people to go home, etc.), have been caught by the authorities.
I am well aware of some conservatives who are concerned about Donald J. Trump. They see him as a disguised globalist attempting to sneak into another four years in office and someone who will ultimately do a great deal of harm to this country. For those concerned about Trump, they have a sneaking suspicion that if he is somehow elected (made to appear as though it’s simply an accident but intended to happen by globalists), things may appear good to great at the start, but in the end, he will ruin America as well, just not in the same way Harris/Walz would.
I’ve dialogued with people who firmly believe the attempted assassinations of Trump were faked. This is in spite of at least one person being murdered and others critically injured. They believe Trump was not ever in any danger and nothing hit his ear while he played his part by dropping to the stage and smearing a blood pack on his ear and cheek in true Hollywood style.
I was listening to an interview with Tony Koretz’ A Minute to Midnight featuring guest Jamie Walden (Episode 533; [1]), in which Walden implies that Trump talking about returning the USA to a new “golden age” ultimately means he is fulfilling the role of the Antichrist as he pushes the worship of the god of fortresses (Daniel 11:38).
He shall honor the god of fortresses instead of these. A god whom his fathers did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.
Walden likens this to the globalists’ worship of Apollo. So, he appears to believe that Trump was speaking in code, telling “believers” that he is the Antichrist, rather than simply saying what he intends to do for the USA, which is to return it to a golden age. I find this very difficult to believe, but I will state without equivocation that I may well be wrong in my own assessment of Trump. I see him as someone with very imprecise language that he should certainly try to control so that he isn’t left open to the claims of the Left who see Nazis around every corner. But I doubt that will ever change with Trump. He is who he is and that’s that.
I’m of the opinion that people who believe the entire Donald J. Trump thing is a fantastic larp likely also believe that if he was ever (God forbid!), actually assassinated, they would be forced to think it was all an act and he is alive somewhere (like Epstein is allegedly). Either that or he did something to anger his overlords and they took him out.
Some conservatives are concerned that Trump pushed the death jab and to this day, has not rescinded his belief in its alleged efficacy. As far as I can tell, Trump never pushed it via mandate on everyone. He wanted it available for those who wanted it. He seems to agree with RFK Jr., in saying that people should have the choice. How would Trump have known the lethal nature of the jab?
I am cautiously optimistic regarding Trump. If he is elected, my belief is that he will endeavor to turn things around in America and with respect to foreign nations. This is exactly what he did during his first term. He began digging for oil. He got us out of wars and started no new ones. The economy was improving a great deal and I vividly recall paying $1.69 for a gallon of gas in my area during his first term. Shortly after Biden/Harris were installed, gas went up past the $4.00 mark and it continues to hover around $3.00 per gallon now in my area. Paying nearly half of that during the Trump years was a very nice thing because we kept more of our hard earned money.
Trump admits he was bamboozled during his first term, told by one “advisor” after another to choose that person or that one for positions in his administration. He now says he won’t do that and the fact that he is surrounding himself with people like RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk and many others makes me think he is serious. RFK and Tulsi know the political landscape and will help Trump navigate it better.
This is the biggest reason I tend not to think Trump is being disingenuous. Too many critically intelligent people support him. Are they all deceived? Are they all part of the larp? Is Tucker Carlson a moron? Is Tusli Gabbard an ignoramus? Is RFK Jr.? What about all the people who believe Trump is who he says he is? Are these people then unable to see the actual nefarious nature of Trump (if it exists)? Are they that stupid due to deception? It seems highly unlikely to me.
Regarding the politically charged atmosphere of Trump’s first term, Melania Trump states that she stopped giving speeches during the Trump administration because people would go over her speeches and edit them. She ultimately learned that her speeches then often contained the type of jargon and verbiage previously used by Michelle Obama in her speeches. Originally, it seemed to Melania that they simply wanted to help and polish her speeches but it became clear they were gerrymandering her speeches for an illegitimate purpose.
Trump is also using his own money to pay for his own transition team to the White House instead of using funds from the government (General Accounting Office), to create his own transition team (which he would be entitled to use). Because he is doing this, he does not need to hire people to his team that the government recommends or says he must. He is spending his own money to get the job done.
I am not able to look into the future and determine exactly what a Trump presidency will look like since I do not have that ability from God. I am also unable to look into Trump’s heart to determine the truth of what he is claiming about himself and his intentions. I have to go by what he says and especially what he does.
I do know this…during Trump’s first administration, he was overwhelmed with people who pretended to be on his side, while doing whatever they could to derail his polices and essentially stab him in the back. I’m hopeful he’s woken up to this reality, but the fact that he is even considering Nikki Haley as part of his next administration is concerning. Maybe he’s simply talking but will not do it. Of course, I note that just yesterday, Haley is back to slamming Trump and his organization for comments made by an insult comedian at the recent Madison Square Garden rally. If Trump brings her onboard, there will be problems.
I want to be as clear as I can be here. I do not believe if Trump is elected, the problems the USA and the world are experiencing will evaporate. I also do not believe Trump is the Antichrist. If Trump is elected again, there is no doubt in my mind the Left will become completely unhinged and will do everything possible to keep Trump’s administration hamstrung. They’re not going to simply give up and admit Trump won the election. They will simply put into effect Plans, B, C, and D.
I know well meaning people on both sides of the issue; some who are convinced that Trump is either a globalist himself or the Antichrist and that everything about him is designed to pull the wool over our eyes. Others believe he is sincere and wants to return America back to its days of strength and respected status in the world. Again, he won’t be allowed to do what he would like to do especially if the majority in Congress oppose him.
I truly wish I could see clearly into the future and behind the curtain. If I could, I’m sure it would be eye-opening. Some obviously believe they can see things clearly and make declarative statements as fact. They are convinced Trump is all a larp or worse, the Antichrist. While it IS possible that Trump is actually nefarious, I’m just not seeing it and others aren’t either. According to Breitbart.com, Israelis favor Trump over Harris, 66% to 17%.[2]
Based on that, I supposed it is possible that Israel’s leadership would be willing to listen to Trump if he ever presented to them a plan for any type of two-state solution to the Middle East. He’s already been involved in the Abrahamic Accords. Because Israelis believe Trump essentially has their back, why would they not trust him? If it turns out he is the Antichrist or a fakir leading up to the final man of sin, this puts him in the position of being able to gain the trust of those who believe he has Israel’s best interests at heart. He could then use this as a means to betray Israel later. Add to this the fact that large Muslim organizations (including at least one Muslim mayor of a large city in the USA), support Donald J. Trump and it could conceivably turn out to position Trump in a powerful position in the world where Arabs, Jews and Gentiles come together under his leadership. No one except God knows and I don’t believe He’s provided true insight to anyone (me included). We all only go by what we see and what makes sense to us.
As I’ve stated, God has not revealed anything to me and He has no obligation to do so. It is not something that I believe can be easily and clearly adjudicated in the mind. There are too many variables and I don’t really believe God has given us the definitive answer about Donald Trump and his allegiance. Because of that, I have to go by what I SEE and HEAR from the man himself.
Having said all of that, based on what I see and hear from both sides, I find myself coming down on the side that gives Trump the benefit of the doubt. If I am wrong about it, then I’m wrong. To be completely clear, I am concerned only with Trump’s policies versus Harris’ policies. In that regard, the decision becomes very easy for me. It’s almost a no-brainer because it seems so obvious.
Those who believe Trump is the Antichrist are extrapolating what they see and hear, arriving to conclusions that satisfy them. As noted, the above comment by Jamie Walden about Trump’s use of “golden age,” where Walden believes Trump is speaking code as referenced in Daniel 11. But it’s not as though the phrase “golden age” has never been used before by anyone. Yet, Walden is taking Trump’s use of the phrase and connecting it to Daniel 11, implying that Trump may very well be the coming Antichrist. Because of that, he has convinced himself that is the truth and he also cannot then vote for Trump (or Harris), so he likely does not vote at all. But what if Walden is wrong in his assertion? What if his imagination has simply gotten away from him?
This is the problem with a constant reliance on prophetic discourse. We cannot 100% know many of the details of prophecy until they actually happen. Until then, it might make great discussion but that’s really all it is.
