This Interesting New Crop Circle Was Just Discovered in the UK

* there have been several challenges and contests to see if anyone can make a decent crop circle overnight. The results fall short of the biggest and most elaborate crop circles on record in many ways. The designs are minimal compared to the elaborate alien circles. The edges are rough. If the ground is muddy, there is clear evidence of human footprints from the nearest road to the site. The alien circles do not show footprints, tractor tracks, mower tracks, or any other evidence that can always be found around human manufactured circles.

* the other problem is the stiff stalks are broken when made by humans. Real crop circles show grain that appears to have grown at a 90 degree angle at about the one foot height level. The stalks are not broken. The only way to duplicate this is to put glass tubes over the growing stalks at an early stage, and let them grow with the glass in place. Then the glass tubes would have to be broken & removed before the press is called to witness the work. A large crop circle would need 100,000 such tubes… hmmm….nope, that didn’t happen either.
* another problem is that ufo sized circles have a magnetic signature which slowly fades away. The magnetic signature is strongest the morning of the first day after creation. This is the most difficult feature to duplicate when producing a fake circle. The magnetic signature is caused by a fine layer of iron dust that is uniformly deposited at the two foot deep level around the circle. There is no evidence of digging trenches and then manually replacing the dirt & grain. Somehow it just appears. The magnetism slowly fades because the iron rusts into iron oxides. Iron oxides are not magnetic. The only thing that could do this is for fresh iron dust to be blasted into the earth with howitzers. Nope, that didn’t happen either, no thumping of howitzers going off in the farmers’ fields for days before the discovery….
* I have tried to visit with people about this at work. The discussion is about as welcome as the worst sort of religious heresy. For people that depend on “science” for their worldview and life philosophy, these sort of facts are very disturbing. Some people get very angry. Stanton Friedman published a paper once, “How to Refute Anything”. He lists the various debate tactics used by people who will not tolerate any thinking out of the box on matters such as this. I have had most of these tactics thrown at me at one time or another. Even the least conjecture of the most tentative hypothesis posed to certain types of people will be greeted by hate and insults. When people don’t have anything intelligent to say, they always fall back on insults.
* They usually fall back on the “plausible deniability” method first, which says that two barflies, who were “falling down drunk”, made the circles as a joke, including the ones as large as the Eiffel Tower, which have precisely laid out fractal patterns, all in a matter of a few hours before sunrise after a night of drinking. Why would this seem plausible to anyone? Nobody ever arrests the drunk barflies for vandalism for some reason. Those two barflies do seem to get around.
* Science is about questions. All questions are fair and on the table, even if the evidences you discover lead in directions of explanations that seem metaphysical. You are not a very good scientist if you don’t agree with this. No Nobel Prize for you, or even an extra slice of pie at dinner.
