Two killed in extensive Russian missile attack against electricity supply in Ukraine - Poland and NATO forces on standby
Polish fighter jets and other NATO forces were sent on the wings in connection with a massive Russian attack on Ukraine on Sunday morning. The Polish Ministry of Defense reported on X that all available forces, including missile defense and radar systems, were put on the highest alert to protect the Polish border areas. On Sunday morning, the Ukrainian authorities reported that Russian attacks, which included drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, had hit several targets in Ukraine, with a particular focus on the country's energy infrastructure, reports Reuters. The powerful Russian attack is a signal to the West that no area in Ukraine is safe. Russia is capable of knocking out all Western military installations throughout Ukraine. At the same time as the Russians carried out their extensive missile attack against Ukraine which resulted in two deaths, VG writes that at least 72 people were killed when Israel attacked a block of flats in Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza.
