John McAfee was a British-American entrepreneur and cybersecurity expert who founded the McAfee antivirus software company. The company, known for its antivirus software and later its comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, played a significant role in the early days of personal computing.

Name Change:

It’s important to note that John McAfee, in addition to his contributions to the cybersecurity industry, gained media attention for his eccentric personality, legal issues, and involvement in cryptocurrency.
