Cuba Preparing Military For Action Against United States

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel accused the Trump administration on Saturday of dragging relations with the United States to their worst level in decades and called on Cubans to strengthen the Communist-run country’s defenses and economy.

Diaz-Canel, in a speech closing the National Assembly, said the United States is engaging in an “asphyxiating financial persecution that makes the import of goods and resources of primary necessity particularly difficult.”

The Cuban economy has stagnated in recent years in tandem with the implosion of strategically Venezuela, resulting in cuts in fuel and energy use by state entities and this year shortages of basic goods such as bread, chicken, and eggs.

US citizens who have no relatives in Cuba will not be able to travel to this country. US administration introduces appropriate measures as part of the package of sanctions against Cuba. John Bolton, the US presidential national security adviser, said in a speech in Florida. According to him, the new restrictions “will stop the flow of US dollars to the Cuban government, its armed forces and security service”.

Washington decided to restore the restrictions on the size of remittances to Cuba. Americans will be able to transfer there up to $1 thousand per quarter now.
