Gorelick is originally from Great Neck, a Long Island suburb of New York City, where she grew up in a Jewish family. She earned her undergraduate and law degrees from Harvard University.
- Staunch Hillary Ally and Rumored Attorney General
Gorelick’s name was high on the list of potential attorneys general for a Hillary Clinton administration, a reflection of years of loyalty. Before the election, Gorelick lead the charge against FBI director James Comey for relaunching an investigation against the candidate’s private email server.
Gorelick, who left the Clinton Justice Department in 1997 to work for Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines, was paid $26,466,834 in salary, bonuses, performance pay and stock options from 1998 to 2003, according to the Report of the Special Examination of Fannie Mae (2006), conducted by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight.
She defended BP during the 2010 oil spill, and worked on the 9/11 commission for Tom Dashle. Uggh, this lady is evil.
