Is McAffee Involved In Magic Lantern CIA Backdoor Flap?

From the research I have done, I have come to the conclusion that McAfee is a CIA asset, and was involved in creating a backdoor for the CIA to spy on computers using the security software that McAfee supposedly created.

It could go back further, but back in 2009, this was going around.

Hi, I have a problem with the McAfee security suite and Spyware Doctor. The latter detected the Backdor.Bandok malware in McAfee and when I cleaned the infections SD disabled few of the McAfee protections. I visited the McAfee community forum and quite a few people have the same problem with me. Is this a false positive again or a genuine threat this time?

I’m an electrician, and I used to work for a large company as their estimator. I would estimate $1 million plus jobs that included high security govt projects. We had a sophisticated bidding program to help with the estimating. I was having some issues with the program one time, and I called the company that produced the program. I had to disable McAfee, and give them my passwords, but the tech was able to completely take over the computer, even though he was thousand of miles away. It was almost surreal to see him moving the mouse pointer around and clicking on items from his computer at a remote location. He had complete access to the computer.

It was at this time that I realized how unsecure supposedly private info is on a supposedly secure computer. Wouldn’t the government love to have this type of access to any computer they wished?

I believe that this was McAfee’s goal.

WASHINGTON – Network Associates has been snared in a web of accusations over whether it will place backdoors for the U.S. government in its security software.

Since Network Associates (NETA) makes popular security products, including McAfee anti-virus software and Pretty Good Privacy encryption software, reports of a special arrangement with the U.S. government have drawn protests and threats of a boycott. The flap started last week, when news reports began to appear about an FBI project code-named “Magic Lantern.” Details are sketchy, but Magic Lantern reportedly works by masquerading as an innocent e-mail attachment that will insert FBI spyware inside your computer.

I personally believe that McAfee is only alive because he has information that will be made public if he is killed, that would expose this corruption within the US govt. Basically, the US govt can spy on any citizens computer they want, and what’s worse, if they want to frame someone, they can install kiddie porn, al quaeda communications, suspicious emails, etc.

This is big brother on steroids, and I feel that McAfee is at the center of it.
