Is “Grace” a -- “Pardon”? If You Believe Your Sins Were “Pardoned’ by the Father – Then You Have no Need for the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ –-- If You Are “Pardoned” Why Would You Need the Blood of Christ?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

IS “Grace” a — “Pardon”? If you believe your sins were “pardoned’ by the Father – then you have no need for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ –– If you are “Pardoned” why would you need the Blood of Christ?

Here is the definition of the term “pardon” from “dictionary.com”.

“A pardon is granted to an individual,

often by the action of a government official such as a governor, president, or monarch,

and — “releases” — the individual from any punishment due for the infraction of the law,as a death sentence, — prison term, or fine:

to be released from prison with a full pardon.

An amnesty is a pardon ..”

Have you been taught the sacrifice of Jesus Christ was a pardon?   It is NOT!

Or have you been taught a “release” from our sins, a pardon, can be granted by our Father?   NOT SO!

Have you been taught the following?

Ephesians 2

8 For by “graceare ye saved through faith;and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Using this scripture alone — all by itself – leaves us with the impression the Father saves us by — “His” Grace,– as a gift, does it not?

If our Father can grant each of us a full pardon for sinning against Him then why did the Father send Jesus Christ to die on the stake?

A pardon does not require a blood sacrifice, a pardon is simply an order issued by a ruler. Our President’s have issued many of them- Gordon Liddy was just pardoned, and no one had to die.

If all that is required for salvation is a full “pardon” granted by our Father then why was Jesus Christ sent to be — our Passover?

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ — “our Passover is sacrificed for us:

Romans 5

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,Christ died for us.

If we are saved by “Grace” – why then must Jesus Christ die for us??

If we have been granted a full pardon by the Father is that not enough or are there two ways to gain salvation: by the sacrifice of Christ or by a pardon issued by the Father ??

How we can be “Justified” or “Redeemed” is a foundational doctrine which we better fully understand —- our eternal life depends on our sins being “Redeemed”.

Here is the WWW definition of Redeemed:

“gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment.”

Our sins are “Redeemed” by a payment, not by a pardon.

Returning to Ephesians 2

Ephesians 2

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewithhe loved us,he loved us”

God the Father “Loved Us” and so:

5 Even when — we were dead in sins, hath quickened us — together –“”with”” Christ, —- (by grace ye are saved; )

Even when we were condemned to death because of our sins (when — we were dead in sins,) our Father is making us “alive” — with — Christ because of HIS GRACE, the Father’s kindness.

Here is a key statement by Paul that is a cause of the confusion. By focusing on the last statement, “by grace ye are saved; “ and ignoring the first “Even when we were dead in sins,– the confusion occurs.

6 And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] – sit together - inheavenly [places] in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward usthrough —- Christ Jesus.

Grace is not salvation salvation comes only — “through —Christ Jesus.

Salvation – through – Jesus Christ comes— “”because of”” —God the Father’s kindness/grace.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith;and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

Here is the “Word’s” definition of Grace:

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Because of the Grace/kindness of our Father, our Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for us —- WHILE WE WERE SINNERS.

God the Father has NOT pardoned us — but has allowed His Son to die for evil disobedient sinners in payment for our sins. THAT IS TRUE LOVE — THAT IS TRUE KINDNESS; that is the Grace of our Father.

I tell you the truth – I would die for any of my family — but I would find it very difficult to die for YOU!

I am thankful my Father and His Son are not like me.

But as evil as we are; our Savior was beaten and hung on a stake and by the thrust of a spear poured His Blood on to the ground for us –for evil sinners.

Our sins are paid for by the Blood of Christ so we can live for ever — other wise when we die we return to dust and that is that — forever.

By the kindness of our Father we can look forward to the first Resurrection and being with our KING for evermore.
