These are people who say Lord, Lord, our many wonderful works in your name, but as this author is, they are workers of iniquity (lawlessness) saying you are saved by grace, now do good works when the truth is repentance for evil, if one is evil.

It is NOT saved first, then works. It is TURN FROM EVIL DEEDS first and that’s it:

Works are deeds. Good people do not do evil and are already on the path to Heaven, as reflected in Revelation 5:9 and
Psalm 1:6 “God knows the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
Now as to this lie of the author that the lake of fire burns to dust and that’s the end of them all, read the truth:
Revelation 20:10 “And the Devil … was cast alive into the lake of fire … where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever.”
The Devil is cast into the lake of fire for good after the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth. The Beast and false prophet were already there 1000+ years prior (Revelation 19:20) so it is a lie of the author that the lake of fire burns to dust and that’s the end of all who were cast into the lake of fire.
