Houston's James Berry Elementary School to Host Internationally Recognized Author Dr. Becky Bailey for 2015 S.T.A.R. Conference

Exclusive Conference for Educators to Showcase Effective Implementation Strategies

Houston, TX (MMD Newswire) October 29, 2015 — James Berry Elementary was selected to host the prestigious Conscious Discipline 2015 S.T.A.R. Conference this November 5-7. Author and founder Dr. Becky Bailey will host the sold out event in a live school environment. The partnership between Dr. Bailey and James Berry Elementary Principal Ali Oliver is designed to provide educators from around the country direct interaction with faculty and students showing the application process of school-­wide implementation of the Conscious Discipline methodology.

Becky Baily, Ph.D., is an award-winning author, renowned teacher and internationally recognized expert in childhood education and developmental psychology. She teaches thousands of administrators, teachers, counselors, and parents annually, and has over half a million copies of her top-selling books in circulation. Dr. Bailey is the creator of Conscious Discipline, a unique program that integrates social-emotional learning, discipline and self-regulation practices in combination with brain-based research. The program help educators take an intentional and proven approach that brings about better outcomes in response to tantrums, hitting, whining, bullying and other common behavioral issues.
