Greg Abbott Is on a Roll as He Destroys Anti-Free Speech Operatives on Texas Campuses

Texas Governor Greg Abbott is on a limited government warpath right now, and his latest victim is the anti-free speech movement sweeping campuses across the United States.

Too often, college campuses cave to social justice warriors who do everything in their power to eliminate any kind of speech that would run contrary to their hard-left narrative. As such, campuses everywhere become infected with this despotic hold what can and can’t be said, either because the hard-left has infiltrated student governments or administration positions, or because the college is scared of them.

Not in Texas. Not now. Abbott posted yet another one of his famous videos in which he shows himself signing a bill that only grants more freedom to Texans.

“Some colleges are banning free speech on college campuses,” Abbott said. “Well, no more because I’m about to sign a law that protects free speech on college campuses in Texas.”

“Shouldn’t have to do it,” he added. “The First Amendment guarantees it. Now, it’s law in Texas.”

Abbott is correct. He shouldn’t have to do this at all, not just in terms of protecting free speech in federally funded places, but that this is necessary in places where students are supposed to be learning everything they can. Instead of being taught various aspects and views of humanity, they’re being forced to learn only critical theory and all the prejudices that come with it. They’re not taught how to think, they’re taught what to think.

Party of being taught what to think is forcing only some things to be heard. Anything contrary to the narrative has to go.

This isn’t education, this is brainwashing.

While it’s not going to fully cure the disease, forcing campuses to at least allow dissent to this hard-left agenda is a good step in reversing its course.

This is the third video Abbott has released showing himself terminating some form of government hold on something. Before this video, Abbott signed into law the ability for alcohol to be delivered to your home just like pizza is. Before that, he signed a law banning red light cameras throughout the state.

I defy you to name a better governor in office right now.
