How Trump Can Undo Obamacare and Defeat Democrats’ Universal Healthcare

President Trump stunned everyone today by vowing to end the Affordable Care Act – aka Obamacare. He also stated that the Republicans will “soon be known as the party of health care”. CNN immediately responded that he cannot win that political fight. CNN is wrong. He can win, and here’s how. But first let’s go back in time a bit.

During President Bill Clinton’s administration, First Lady Hillary Clinton pushed healthcare reform that was all about who should pay for who’s diseases and disorders. Little importance was given to how people can become healthier. In 1994, just two years into the Clinton White House, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) began using its illegal secret Sensitive Application Warning System (SAWS), to delay targeted patent applications indefinitely without explanation to patent applicants. According to USPTO internal documents, the targeted applications included those:

• “Claiming prevention or curing of diseases which were previously considered impossible to prevent or cure.” [i.e. cancer, Alzheimer's, HIV, etc.]

The USPTO’s illegal program was busted in 2014 and exposed in the news media. Several months later, the USPTO announced that it ended the program. However, laws and regulations are still in place that allow the USPTO to obstruct cures for diseases.

Obamacare forced Americans to buy health insurance, go on Medicaid if they qualified, or be punished through fines of up to $2,085 (in 2017). It was a kind of “extortion” because many of the best health-promoting services and products are not covered by health insurance companies, Medicaid or even Medicare.

That means people are forced to pay for less effective health care, thus reducing their money available for more effective health care. One inevitable result is a downward spiral and decline of health, and an increase of suffering and premature deaths. Another result is an increase of profits for health insurers, big pharma and hospitals, which are all part of the “disease care” industry.

President Trump’s pledge to eradicate HIV within 10 years could be far easier to achieve in less time and with less money than he imagined. He needs only to end the Democrats’ fraudulent and hypocritical efforts to prevent disease cures and more cost-effective treatments from entering the market. Then, even Trump’s efforts to reduce opioid deaths will succeed more easily.

The key will be to remove all government and private sector obstacles for these cures to be available to the public. Trump needs to end suppression of disease cures by the USPTO, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Disease Control (CDC) and any other government agencies that are serving private industry profits more than health of the people.

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” used to be an honored phrase. It has been replaced with “a pound of less effective healthcare is worth a ton of profit, campaign cash and votes”. Universal healthcare is just more hypocrisy disguised as compassionate healthcare.

Trump could do more for Americans’ health than all the presidents before him. The number of lives he could save might be enough to swing an election in his favor.
