Hellooo, McFly: Alyssa Milano Tries to Lend Insight & Intelligence; She Can’t Do It

The way things seem to go as of late: if you’re a Democrat, you’re on the side of…whatever.

Whatever: /n./ That which opposes Republicans.

How else would you stay a Democrat?

Therefore, if someone asserts a conservative fouled up way back before Marty McFly burned 88-mile-per-hour rubber in cineplexes across America, it’s incumbent upon every D-Party loyalist to shout an endorsement as tall as the Clock Tower.

Showing The Power of Love for partisanship, Alyssa Milano — she was featured on Good Morning America’s site, affirming and confirming the Dems’ latest iteration of Anita Hill.

Her reasoning was novel, to say the least.

GMA opened their story by labeling Milano an “actress and activist.” Surely that’s a title the starlet is proud of — “activist.” She’s certainly devoted considerable time to earning it. If only a fitting description were “informed activist.” That’d be nice.

Milano has a history of political involvement, most of which has not reflected well. For examples, please look here, here, here, and here.

Her latest foray concerns Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. President Trump recently tweeted about the charges of teenage impropriety against Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford:

“I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!”

Whether Ford’s allegation is true is anyone’s guess. There is, at least, a logic to Trump’s contention — the psychologist’s action of not speaking up over three and a half decades doesn’t exactly lend credence to her claim.

On Friday, Alyssa responded to the President’s tweet, using reasoning that was, well, unreasonable:

“Hey, @realDonaldTrump, Listen the f*** up. I was sexually assaulted twice. Once when I was a teenager. I never filed a police report and it took me 30 years to tell me parents. If any survivor of sexual assault would like to add to this please do so in the replies. #MeToo.”

First of all, much as I have liked Alyssa in the past, that’s no way to speak to the President of the United States. Secondly, her motivation for believing Ford’s story is….

She was sexually assaulted twice????

So…because something happened to Alyssa Milano, any other similar claim in the universe should be believed?

I have an Aunt George; she prefers to be called Bill.

I was conceived in Oahu, Hawaii.

I once got my arm perilously stuck in a motor home’s retractable awning.

Alyssa Milano was sexually assaulted. Twice.

We all have things happen to us. We all have a unique story. But one’s experiences do not shed light on the veracity of others’ claims. You have an Aunt Bill? Prove it, buster.

For Alyssa to suggest Ford’s claims — courtesy of Dianne Feinstein, coincidentally at a time when conservative (aka constitutional) principles stand to affect the Supreme Court — should necessarily be given merit is, itself, unmerited.

Yet, this is the world in which we live. Some women who’ve experienced bad things are saying to believe any woman who claims the same. That is not how reasoning should work, and justice should always be reasonable.

Alyssa Milano may truly want to make the world a better place. But being unthinking doesn’t attain that goal.

And Good Morning America isn’t doing us any favors by spotlighting someone who seems to like the sound of her own voice better than the aural pleasures of smart ideas.

But this is the Left, and this is Hollywood. Sure — it brought us Back to the Future;, but it’s also Biff’d it a number of times.

Do you wish those who are paid to have lights shone upon them and speak others’ words would stick to being the rotely reciting mannequins we enjoy, rather than the daft and unqualified dorks they insist upon exposing themselves as?

#MeToo.
